Great feedback. I was looking at the 3560 but I thought it would be a bit too small. I'm glad I decided to go with the 4060. Need to prove the loader has the lift capacity that I need but so far, I'm really impressed. The cab is not an inconvenience at all when working with the winch and the heat is amazing!

Not one with a loader like yours. That’s what brought me to your channel. Would LOVE that setup! kinda jealous, lol! Got everything else tho, including winch and backhoe. So I don’t work too hard. I’m all about workin smarter not harder eh. Lol

I hear you… I’m thinking about selling the T1750 trailer to move into the larger T5000 to put behind this L4060. Should be able to bring a full cord out at a time if I pull the trigger….

@@OakMountainAcotts yes. I like to see it come back naturally if it can. I like a good mixture of softwood and hardwood coming back.Like what was on it before when it was cut. Especially for that piece of ground. It is poorly drained.Thanks so much.

Great feedback Richard. I was a little worried about ease of getting in and out of the cab while working but it is fine. Maybe a little easier than jumping over the shifter of the 414!

I looked at the MX5400 along side this 4060. Frame size was nearly the same but of course the 5400 has a larger engine. The Grand L series comes stock with so many features that it made the decision for me. I'm not sure what the rated pulling capacity is on the old Farmi winch. I normally ran it on idle with the 414 and it would pull anything on our property. That is the way I am running it on the 4060, maybe at 1000 rpm and it is working exactly the same. I think the frame size and HP on the 414 and this 4060 are pretty close so no really difference that I can see at this time except I have 4WD to get into the woods in the Winter time! The FX85 looks impressive. If I was to upgrade I would spring for the remote controlled unit. Very useful if you work alone like I do. Saves a lot of steps... My 2601 and T1750 is a capable setup. I am thinking about selling it though to purchase a larger T5000 trailer that would go behind the 4060... kind of redundant to have a whole other set of equipment to haul the wood to the yard! Not really sure what it is :) A few of the guys on here told me it was a Farmi! Very reliable old winch, whatever it is! I built the saw holders out of 2x6 with 1x1 dividers to allow the bar to slip in. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, it really doesn’t take much to get tired out! Once we have enough snow, I think Karen will use the snow machine and warm up in the tractor cab as needed!

Time will tell… the winch and rock bucket add some weight so we might get by without them. Not sure I want to run forestry chains on the roads when I’m blowing snow!

We sure do. Skidders are very capable, purpose built machines. The tractors will get it done in the woods and do many other jobs for us on our property. Thanks for watching!

@@OakMountainAcotts yes, looks like you have some nice terrain there, I live in Ontario near Algonquin park. Mostly hills. And we get a lot of snow at times . ( not near as much as in the past) we all use skidders. Not often we get flat skids. I noticed that your trees are quit small. Was your land clear cut at one time? That’s a very nice tractor you got. Will be nice for snow removal with that nice warm cab. Great video, thanks

Hi, we purchased this property in 1996 and it was cut at that time by a contractor as part of the transaction. They did a lot of high grading and clear cutting... we ended up with the property. So we have been working on restoring the forest since then. Building our road system, hunting fields and are just now at the point where we can take out some inferior trees to help the dominant trees. Our goal was to set this up to supplement our retirement. We are about 10 years out from that now so trying to get some good equipment in the line up that I can continue to work for a few years. - Jason
