I have tried it a little bit, just kinda feel like its the same thing with extra steps Plus the other tuners (quem, cartesia, bystial aluber) are all multipurpose in terms of fusion and link material, where assault synchron on field locks you to synchros I cant really think of a scenario where I’d prefer assault synchron and a bystial over quem and a bystial tbh

@@YamiElut true i play dragon link so its alot better in dlink than branded would be it is definitely improved my play in dlink but i can see how branded wouldn't benefit from it that much

This is duelingbook, in browser manual sim. I like it for manual testing or playing with a friend who is in a call with me, but using it for playing with strangers can be rather chaotic lol. Its a nice tool for this kind of thing but I prefer automated sims if I’m matching against randoms

Honestly, I dont think there is a replacement for Quem in the synchro variant. Shes quite literally a combination of cartesia and albaz as a normal summon (gets albaz/aluber in grave, is lvl4 tuner) along with the reborns that she does Without Quem your starters would mainly be cartesia and albaz, and considering what cartesia is capable of at that point youd spend your time better just playing a straight up fusion build Quem in Despia is good but not a “necessary” key piece, which is why people will only play her at 1 because shes good but not integral Quem in synchro is honestly just too important for being synchro material, reborns, and putting things in grave so the bystials can go to work without fusing away half your hand just to get something for them to banish I wish I had an alternative to Quem for you but I really am not sure there is one atm

@@YamiElut I'm also struggling to get my 3rd Quem. What if we either play 1 Tragedy or 1 Opening, as a 3rd Quem in the build?

@@Jarryd_Perumal i think if you have 2 quem you can get by with either tragedy + gold sarc/foolish burial or maxing out on branded in high spirits. since this initial reply i have seen a budget version using incredible ecclesia and the golden swordsoul but i would really only do that if i had no quems at all. 2 instead of 3 is not the end of the world if you have a few extra ways to get to her anyways

@@Jarryd_Perumal i would avoid opening though simply because of the fusion lock, that drawback is honestly not worth it in the synchro variant

Its doable but not ideal. As for which is better, tbh theyre just different. Things like anti spell and d barrier hurt branded despia a lot, but this version doesnt struggle nearly as much against those kinds of cards.

While its true that this deck has a lot going for it without BraFu, it does not mean that it doesnt have a place. Its more a change in philosophy. Rather than "I must resolve Brafu and deckbuild for a backup plan if that doesnt work", it opens up more options as a whole and sometimes simply the threat of Branded Fusion is better than actually activating the card. Another thing to note is that although its not the type of thing I can demonstrate in a test hand video, Branded Fusion is huge going second especially (N3sh basically said "think of Branded Fusion as a board breaker going second"). Having it there even with the overall strategy being changed doesnt clash nearly as much as you think it would with other plays (or as much as I thought it might when I first picked up the deck). The thing I AM considering changing/trying though is bringing back Springans Kitt to 1, but I go back and forth on that card all the time.

I think you could, but I dont think making chaos angel is really ever better than dis pater or baronne in this deck specifically In my most recent list I cut Lulu so if you have the space then go for it

@@YamiElutI personally think the buster blader combine with branded is a great branded synchro build that locks xtra deck. Just curious on what you can come up with it. Thanks for the branded tutorial videos. I learned a lot from you even if I’m an OCG player.

Hit Bystial Lubellion when going for backrow, shifter is pretty annoying, ash the seal in grave if not ashing brafu, stuff like that
