I have been playing Branded Despia for like 2 months, loving it immensely and slowly getting accustomed to the mechanisms of the deck. This is such a blessing🙏🏼 I am trying to learn both this and Shaddoll Invoked all over again with some supports, but I played Shaddolls for like 3 years so I know a lot about them. This is a great video. Thank you for being a wealth of knowledge with this deck. You could also go into some detail about use cases of Branded Retribution (when to set it, when to use it on the field or the gy etc) and also Branded In White with its use cases! Also, Gimmick Puppet lines?

Glad you like the vids, and I absolutely will make more finer details about a number of things like Retribution, the Bystials, etc and Branded in White I recently brought back and is one of my favorites As for gimmick puppet, I’m not opposed to talking about it but full transparency I dont even play it because I just find it really boring. Luckily plenty of other youtubers have talked about the puppet lock at length though

Small heads up but might not matter too much in the end. At 6:55ish you said that starting with Lubellion while having opening and getting drolled stops your fusion access for the turn. But, you could in theory Opening to discard Saronir and summon quem then Quem and Saronir can dump Retribution and Fusion to get it to hand!

Coming back into the game after two years and picking up Branded despia to play, I seriously wished to have seen comprehensive instructions like you did here. Every other channel practically assumes the nuances you made here which has really hindered me from trying competitive play even at locals piloting this deck. Sometimes even watching gameplay gets confusing because they dont explain those nuances very carefully which makes it so frustrating figuring out what the best play should be. I seriously have searched high and low on forums and videos to get exactly what you do here and I greatly appreciate it. I will show your content to other players who also need a bit of help with optimally playing this deck because theres still a good amount out there, please keep up with test hands or specialized uses of cards with format changes! Sidenote, if possible definitely do Nadir servant instructions, it would be great!

i feel similarly about a lot of informational yugioh content, it seems a lot of times they assume that everyone already knows the basics of why or how something happens when a lot of times thats not true. really glad to see that the way i explain things is helpful to people
@Jimbojimothy
@Jimbojimothy 10 ай бұрын
It is, every interaction is different and you gotta have an out somehow with what you got in your hand. Which makes it frustrating when you do a whole combo verbatim, then you dont know what to do with the rest of your hand and you either dont play optimally or get slapped during your opponent’s turn because you couldve done something to prevent missplays. Whats even more exhausting is theres always new cards to optimally play the deck while youre learning the old combos and you just sit there and wonder how to integrate the new style of play with the old which makes piloting the deck even more complicated. Dont get me wrong, I love the way this deck gets so flexible with plays but with lack of instruction its like having a swiss army knife and only using the toothpick because youre only comfortable with THAT tool out of the whole thing haha

Can you call the effect of gangruignol on mirrorjade's summon? Or can mirrorjade's quick effect disrupt the effect by banishing gangruignol? Thanks in advance, your video's are the best at explaining this deck!
@YamiElut
@YamiElut 2 ай бұрын
If Mirrorjade was summoned by the effect of Lubellion, Granguignol's effect to banish itself and summon a monster would have to go on the chain first before quick effects because it is a trigger effect. So on the summon of Mirrorjade, Granguignol will activate and banish itself since banishing itself is the cost and happens on activation. Mirrorjade's effect to banish would be too late to catch Grang in this example. Hope that helps

Incredible video! Thanks a lot! I want to learn this deck so bad, your videos help a lot! :D I have some questions about some cards, I was wondering if you can help with that please :) • What do you think of the Nadir + Maximus package? I don't want to buy Nadir because it's expensive and not mandatory, but I would like to understand why people consider it? • What about 1 Scheiren main? • Some people main those cards and I don't know why? Are they really useful or they are just spice? The Golden Swordsoul, The Bystial Aluber, Kitt, Ecclesia • For the extra deck, these 4 monsters are not in all lists. Are they useful? Alba-Lenatus, Irondash, Lulu, Dis Pater • What about Branded in White, Branded Banishment and Branded Regained? • Super Poly, yay or nay this format? If nay, do we still main Garura and Mudragon, or only Dragostapelia? • White Albion is useful if not playing • Masquerade, main or side? • For the big cards (talking about puppet, dark magician and ad libitum). I understand we need only 2 of those 3. What are the best ones to play? Thanks a lot!!!
@YamiElut
@YamiElut 9 ай бұрын
In short, you can build branded in a lot of ways based on your personal preferences. More specifically though builds tend to fall into a couple categories based on philosophy: Nadir servant: if we get ashed, we go for max follow up/playing on opponents turn Crossout: we protect our best card Chimera: we have 2 big ash targets and our opponent can only hit 1 anyway Synchro: we play cards that dont lock us into fusion plays for max versatility Where you find yourself on that spectrum will lead you to different cards (dis pater/lulu in synchro, nadir servant w/possible maximus but not required, higher bystial count + regained and beast as examples) Im a big fan of masquerade so i play him, but i think hes either a full go or not at all. Not really worth a side deck only slot imo. Alba lenatus is a perfect side card because its crazy against dragon link and near useless against most other matchups Super poly is similar which is why i side deck it. Depending on the matchup super poly is either useless and loses card advantage for no reason or absolutely decimates and theres really no in between

In a previous video you said that Rindbrumm is worth it for the GY effect, but i don't see how it is any good. Correct me if im wrong, but you can only special summon ED monsters if you have already summoned them with the appropiate summoning method. So, if i burial Rindbrumm (for example using Mirrorjade, Maximus, or something similar), i wouldn't be able to use his GY effect to banish Albaz and special summon himself. I would only be able to banish himself and special Albaz, wich may be usefull too but not as good as the Rindbrumm negate on field. And for be able to special summon it i have to previously fusion summon it from ED, wich is more difficult than summon Dragostapelia or other negates. How do you use it?
@YamiElut
@YamiElut 10 ай бұрын
Correct, if Rindbrumm is sent to the grave by Mirrorjade he cannot catapault himself back to the field. It really is for resummoning Albaz from grave to fuse with an opponents monster as disruption. Its not the main play usually, but along with Quem reborning Albaz it is a way to make Mirrorjade if you couldn’t before or if something happened to the first one. If you already have a Mirrorjade, often times I will use Albaz to fuse into something else (whether it be Albion/Lubellion if the other monster is a light or dark, and any monster with 2500 atk or more can fuse into Titaniklad)
@YamiElut
@YamiElut 10 ай бұрын
Another thing worth mentioning is in my current build I can only make Rindbrumm with Albaz and my one Mercourier since I cut Springans Kitt, so if I make Rindbrumm I don’t easily get the Mercourier effect from hand. In a build with Springans Kitt it is more worthwhile to make Rindbrumm and still be able to search Mercourier from Branded Lost

I just started Yugi 2 months ago, after having a few years break, so im not completely into the chain link stuff. My question is, Why does for example Tragedy not protect you from Veiler or Imperm if you play him as Chain Link 2 after Aluber? I thought you can only negate the last effect in the chain. Can somebody please give a short explanation?
@YamiElut
@YamiElut 10 ай бұрын
Monster negates (like Apollousa or Baronne de Fleur) and cards like ash blossom & joyous spring can only negate the chain link directly below them. Cards like imperm and e-veiler require the player using them to target a face up monster on the opponents field. Meaning that veiler and imperm are still able to target aluber despite the chain link above him. The chain will resolve like this: CL3: Imperm/veiler targets the face up Aluber and negates its effects for the rest of the turn CL2: Tragedy searches a Despia and adds to the hand CL1: Aluber attempts to search, but has been previously negated by imperm and fails The reason book of moon saves aluber from imperm is that imperm will no longer be able to target the face up aluber on field, meaning it will fail to negate the card
