quick question branigan, i know this may go against what you are preaching but i am in a situation where i am debating whether I should apply for edd once again. quick background of my business is that I opened up a retail shop back in september 2019 (pre-covid) and was kicked in the butt because retail business has been gone down the drain ever since this pandemic started. my store was closed almost 2 months and i had trouble paying my rent. although i do make some income through my online sales, it is safe to say my business plan did not go as planned. ive been getting my unemployment check since march because i didnt want to miss out on the $600 weekly federal check, but now I am wandering whether I should still continue receiving my unemployment. my retail store is still open, although there are no customers and i havent made a single sale for many months at my store. my online sales is doing okay so its not like im making zero income. do you think i should still apply for edd?

Hello I filed to do a backdate on my claim and I got an email back from edd saying "Thank you for your inquiry. Our records indicate that your request to backdate your claim is completed. Therefore, no action will be taken at this time". Does this mean I got approved

Due to the famous " employment at will" we tend to thinks that employment Law in the US is non existent or so.( As "umployement at will" does not exist in France and no one is ever fired on the spot ). If I was fired and the unemployment appellate judge ruled that there was no proven basis for my termination and my unemployment benefits were granted and paid out. Is the judges decision enough for me to file a wrongful termination suit?

Not much of a helping hand when only $450 Max a week is given. In Ohio, the max weekly (7 days) one can get is $700 a week. I need that. I used to make $700 - $800 net a week working. No one can live on $450 a week. California is fn backwards
