Anyone else think that over the last 45 years the game has not evolved, but devolved?

Outstanding footage...there should be a documentary about the 1975-76 NBA and ABA seasons. There was a collision course that would change pro basketball between the leagues forever. Even though the ABA was about to merge and fold, those guys bought a style of play a lot of people across the nation never heard about(or saw). Of course there was TV(even cable TV). But the TV networks refused to give the ABA a contract. The 1975(Colonels) and 76(Nets) ABA champs, challenged the Warriors and Celtics to a game but they refused. When the best from the ABA came over to the NBA and brought their style of play, all of a sudden the NBA became "too black". If you watch on YT the playoff series between of the NBA and ABA(limited coverage) you'll see the difference in the styles of play and the talent the ABA had.

I know that this video is mostly just highlights but people forget that while McAdoo was mostly known as a high scorer he was a good passer from both the high and low post as well as a very good rebounder and shot blocker considering he was small for a center
