Ingredients
Toppings/Filling:
4 egg yolks
2/3 cup evaporated milk
2 tbsp condensed milk
1/8 tsp salt
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp lemon juice - this is optional - you can also use vanilla essence
1 tbsp butter
Meringue:
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
4 tbsp castor sugar - you can also use white sugar but I suggest that you grind it (using a blender) to make it superfine
1 tbsp cornstarch
Other ingredients:
Powdered sugar to sprinkle on top (optional)
Vinegar to clean the utensils
Procedure:
Filling/Toppings:
1. In a pan, mix the eggyolks, evaporated and condensed milk, salt, cornstarch, lemon juice. Cook over medium low heat until thick. Once thick, add the butter. Cook until the butter is dissolved. Transfer into a bowl, set aside and let cool.
2. Transfer the filling in a piping bag.
Meringue (watch the video for more tips):
1. In a bowl, combine the sugar and cornstarch.
2. In a separate bowl (mixing bowl) combine egg whites and cream of tartar. Using a stand mixer, beat until foamy.
3. Gradually add the sugar/cornstarch mixture. Add 1 tbsp at a time for every 10 seconds.
4. Continue beating until stiff peaks formed (watch the video to see the consistency).
5. Using a piping bag, fill the cups with the meringue.
6. In a preheated oven, bake for 15 minutes at 170 deg C.
7. Put the filling/toppings.

1. Sa kawali, paghaluin ang eggyolks, evaporated and condensed milk, salt, cornstarch, lemon juice. Lutuin sa katamtaman hanggang mahinang apoy hanggang kumapal. Pag makapal na, ilagay ang butter. Lutuin hanggang matunaw ang butter. Ilagay sa bowl at palamigin.
2. Ilagay sa piping bag.
Meringue (panoorin ang video para sa mnga tips):
1. Sa bowl, pagsamahin ang sugar and cornstarch.
2. Sa isa pang bowl (mixing bowl) pagsamahin ang egg whites and cream of tartar. Gamit ang mixer, batiin hanggang bumula.
3. Dahan dahang ilagay ang sugar/cornstarch. 1 tbsp kada sampung minuto.
4. Batiin hanggang maging meringue (paanoorin ang video para makita ang itsura).
5. Gamit ang piping bag, lagyan ng meringue ang cups.
6. Sa preheated oven, i-bake sa loob ng 15 minutes sa lakas na 170 deg C.
7. Lagyang ng filling/toppings.
