I would like to thank Mal and all the people who took their money and time, to donate, to all of these people. You are all so kind. Most homeless people, appreciate any thing you give to them. The smallest things, like a ear that listens, or a card, just one deodorant , can make a hurting person feel better, even if its just in that moment. Most feel all alone and not cared about, even though many times they are loved. Thank you for caring about them. One small thing we do may be the last thing any one can do for them.

Guys PLEASE don't give up on BRE! I was super disappointed at first too. I watched it again with headphones. She comes of rude but honestly she sounds overwhelmed like she is not used to getting stuff from someone. I think she couldn't handle the situation. Almost like she told herself I'm not worth it. I don't think she realizes in what kind of situation she is and doesn't want to admit. For her that's life and she probably tells herself I'm okay I don't need someone to take care of me. I didn't it all myself for so long. Have u guys seen her back has burns like bad ones. That girl got abused bad in the past. Give her time to see how it is when ppl care about her. You know with me being in recovery for 3 and 1/2 years I've learned to appreciate every little thing and if I would have gotten a box of stuff like that I'd have been very grateful..

This is so beautiful. When I was homeless I really appreciated any help and things like this. It meant so much to me. Before becoming homeless I took everything for granted. After I was so happy to have the simplest of things: feminine items, underwear, bras, wipes, snacks, drinks. Just the basics. God bless you all who donated.

Bre is not ungrateful, she doesn’t have to accept anything. We don’t know what her situation is, we only get snippets of her life during these interviews and she is very vague in her responses. To be honest, if I would have taken these items when I was using I would have sold them… back then everything I needed could be measured in a spoon. The Bre situation reminds me of something I learned in my youth. In the early 2000s, I met a homeless girl my age (we were in our late teens) in the streets of Downtown L.A. I decided to invite her to my place so that she could shower. I laid out some clean clothes and undergarments of mine that I thought would fit her so she could change after her shower. We got high (this was during my addiction) and kicked back just talking and all the while I kept thinking about her getting in the shower because I was uncomfortable with her being dirty and kicking it in my place. After a few hours I mentioned the shower again (which was not the first time I had brought up) and she finally went in but very reluctantly. When she got out she looked at the clothes I had given her and she asked me if I had something else for her to choose from! I remember thinking she was so ungrateful and inconsiderate. She told me she liked black and red and didn’t like what I gave her. I realized that I wanted her to get in the shower because that is what I thought she needed and I picked out random clothes I liked for her without thinking that this girl had her own personality and style and just because she was homeless on the street didn’t mean she doesn’t have her own personal taste and likes (what makes a person an individual). We always hear the saying that “beggars can’t be choosers” but people do have preferences. Also, I think Bre is not asking anyone for anything and is used to making her own money (whatever way she does) and getting what she needs this way so it is difficult for her to accept something for free.

That's so nice. After stepping out of the cinema the other night I seen a homeless boy sitting outside on the concrete in the cold and I walked straight up to him and gave him some money to buy something to maybe eat or do whatever he wanted to do with it and I slept so well that night with the best feeling in my soul.

By far the best channel of its kind I don't watch any of the other ones anymore. This video was super touching and Helena's adorable. I understand it might have hurt the person's feelings a little bit about Bre, but I definitely wouldn't take it personal that's going on with her and it's not towards anyone else. If people really can't see that truly surprises me. I'm looking forward to being able to help soon.

It saddens me to see people being mad at and mean to Bre. You don't know what she's been through or why she is the way she is. She did say "it was nice of them". Don't give gifts with expectations attached in my opinion. Some of you say "beggars can't be choosers", but she didn't beg. I personally don't like getting gifts myself, cause I find that people usually want something in return, so I get very wary. If I was a homeless addict, I can only imagine I'd feel that way even more intensely. But thank you to the person who gifted her the things, as well as the others who sent things. It was nice and thoughtful to want to help the people out there.

Mal, you bring so many people joy. Thank you for being so kind and compassionate. I’m so happy to see Bre and know she is ok. I have an Amazon list with her name on it. I’ll be sending her and others some things soon. Bre is a tough one emotionally and some people have a really hard time expressing themselves and accepting things from others. It’s ok, give her some grace. The definition of giving is “providing love or other emotional support; caring”. Maybe she doesn’t know how to respond to people caring about her.

Dam Bre 😳 I was super grateful for anything given to me while out there. It definitely wasn’t like this back then , but very rarely a good hearted person would go out of their way to feed me or help me in some way & id thank God for that person. You’re lucky there’s actually people sending you whole boxes of stuff you need! No one did that a few years ago .

Bree cant hide her annoyance and disappointment that she wasnt handed money for drugs. She knows she cant buy drugs with clothes and food. Can we acknowledge PLEASE ... that the people featured on this channel are not fucking zoo animals ! They dont have to like your gifts, and very often they might not even need them ! Sure lots of people in kensington need help ... but as someone who spent the majority of my active use in kensington (coming up on 4 years clean) not ALL of these people are as needy as you think they are ... and even if they are that does not mean that all personal taste suddenly goes out the window and they have to just wear whatever you want them wearing, or whatever you think is cute. This used to happen to me all the time when I was using, I remember very specifically last time I was out I had a pretty old but still very much intact pair of doc martins ... I personally liked the worn in look and LOVE combat boots ... multiple times I had people try and buy me shoes and even once somone just showed up with a pair of shoes on the street corner 2 sizes too small for me and when I said I did not need them please return them they litterally fought with me saying beggars can not be choosers. I did not ask them for them. I did not want them and I wore those doc martins for TWO more years, well in to my sobriety because they where awesome boots and just my style. Furthermore I was easily making well over 100 bucks a day, if I wanted shoes ... I would have bought some. Maybe, If you really think you see someone that needs help, that is not asking for it ... you should ... IDK ... ask ?

I have a duel diagnosis myself, mental and addiction, there's help out there, you really need to want it, I'm coming up on 12 years sober, and on psych meds, its not an easy road, but recovery is possible,

Aw man... I get that people think Bre is being ungrateful, but I feel like if we watch this it’s cuz most of us are compassionate and empathetic and want to either understand the mindset of people going through situations like these, have gone through it ourselves, have seen someone we love go through it, or want desperately to help in some way. For this reason, I think it’s important to remember that Bre is not okay. She’s not feeling well and I very much doubt that she’s really herself right now. So let’s not be too harsh, you know?
