Love the Grand. We we there in 1981 & never forgot it. (after we saw Somewhere in Time). Best movie ever!! We drove from Long Island, NY to Michigan. Will never forget that trip!!

I thought it was lychee fruit but they’re both tropical Asian fruits. Dawn, I love to see the enjoyment you get from bicycling and seeing the beaches! It’s all about nature and enjoying the simple things in life! Will I also enjoy when you share with us your historic places that you visit. Such a beautiful island 🏝️

What a great trip and the bike ride. As a horse lover and owner, the smell of horses is "wonderful" and even the road apples are not offensive to horse people.

Ya'll are having the best year! Trip after trip! We have the electric version of the bikes you rented. Its the kind without a throttle, the motor is on the pedals instead of the wheels.

The rambutan looked interesting. I’ve never seen one but heard they are high in vitamin c. Old fashioned bikes. Lol Everyone spoiled to e-bikes. Looked like a fun ride. No poisonous snakes? Yay. My daughter was close to being bit by a copperhead a few days ago. Scared her to death. Unfortunately where she is going to live soon has lots of them. Really enjoyed your adventure. I just read that your not supposed to eat the seed of that fruit. Who would have known. They should have taken the seed out. I wouldn’t have known either Will. I loved this video. It’s such a relaxing place. It would be nice to spend 3 or 4 days there if one could afford it. Thanks for sharing this video! Praying you and Dawn have safe travels.

It's recommended you don't eat them, but eating one or two raw seeds probably will not affect your health. It's also recommended not to eat more than two servings of Fish a week for the same reason, really. The toxins/chemicals can cause harm the more it accumulates inside your body. Plenty of things we put into our bodies have dangerous chemicals/toxins/whatever you want to say but are allowed at low levels/in moderation.

The smell of horses and fudge! Our daughters wedding was on the Island last year! All the guests made a vacation out of it to explore the Island.

Your fruit was something I used to eat at Chinese restaurants. Great video. Love the hotel. I’ve never heard of Mackinac Island. Beautiful! I would be a so out of my element as a Southerner in the North 😂

Rambutan is a juicy sweet fruit from Southeast Asia that looks like a sea urchin but tastes sweeter than grapes

For my 21st birthday in 1977 my birthday present was to go to Mackinaw Island. My favorite part was seeing Arch Rock. My Dad had his picture taken on it in 1934 while stationed there in the C.C.C.

Rambutan:) they are like leche nuts :). I went to macinac island when I was a child. I remember walking around the Grand Hotel! My mom loved the movie Somewhere in Time! I watched it over and over! Y’all need to watch it:)

I want to go there so badly but the overpowering smell of Manure is worrying me a little. Had friends who went there and they said that was the only downside of staying there.

What a fun time. Step back in time. So funny to see you “ Michiganders “ ( I am too I grew up there long long time again) see you eat Rambutan fruit. It is strange and the seed on the the inside. We grow lychee in the higher elevation here in hawaii. And are at the end of the season. My kids love it. My girl friend always made the best Lychee martini. Thanks for the video
