“Fans” who actually don’t like character arcs - they just want every character to do the same thing all day (forever), will never get it, but his arc is great because it was written from beginning til end by the same writers - Marcus and McFeely. If you go back to 1st Avenger - Steve [pre serum] confesses to Peggy - all the times that he got beat up, how he felt he had something to prove, and couldn’t back down from a fight….and yet was a little bit scared of women. To which she responded that she knew a thing or two about having something to prove and coyly replies back - maybe he just hasn’t found the right woman to ‘dance’ with. Later in the film Peggy makes him promise to dance - with her. He agrees. So at the end of the film when he chooses to go down with the plane rather than dance with Peggy - he is showing the way of the warrior over the lover. He has broken his promise to Peggy - but of course its implied that this isn’t the last we’ll see of it. Now cut to Age of Ultron - where Ultron ‘outs’ Rogers. He tells him….you play the hero but in fact you can’t live without war! So at the end of the Endgame when Rogers lays down his shield and gets his chance in another timeline to keep his promise with Peggy, he fulfills the growth of his character arc. The soldier has also learned that he can be the lover as well. It is a beautiful character arc, and one wouldn’t expect the kids and arrested adolescents to approve of it, as they just want Cap and Bucky to play Batman and Robin forever. Lol. Of course you do…and that’s why if it were up to you, these films would always be kid stuff…only.

Captain America and Chris Evans as Cap is one of my favorite characters as well. I also loved him as The Human Torch in The Fantastic Four. One of my favorite actors. As soon as I saw Evans in The Fantastic Four, I wanted to see him in more films and then I heard he was playing Captain America and I got my wish. Excellent Actor. He knows how to humorous and how to be serious. Fantastic Four, he was more humorous but he was good and funny. And in Captain America he is more serious and captivating. I am happy to see he is successful. I love his acting. Keep him coming.

I'm all for it. it'd be pretty easy to write him in since we only saw him disappear from the timeline using the time machine at the end of endgame. Perfect opportunity to write in something that explains he was approached by The Watcher or someone like that after he returned the stones.

Yep, agree a PC scene in Cap 4 seems likely. I'm pleased (how is it anything but great?) but not entirely surprised. I mean, Kevin Feige talked Anthony Hopkins into coming back THREE MORE times after he said he was done. Marvel is good at this.

I'm sceptical that MCU can be 'saved' (i.e., brought back to the pre-Endgame quality & popularity levels), but this is a strong step in the right direction. Agreed with Armin that he should not be brought back to the forefront necessarily, but he should imho be brought back and remain as one of the main pillars of the universe, similar to perhaps Nick Fury's role, where he is a tactician, organizer, and a mentor, who gets his hands dirty from time to time, when the situation is serious enough. And Evans could arguably do that type of a role for the next 10-20 years, i.e., until an inevitable full reboot. And I'd very much like to see him do it.

RDJ and Chris Evans were so amazing in their roles. With Tom Holland they are the best of the MCU if you ask me. I hope they both return somehow. One thing I think the MCU wrongly passed up was a movie or story where Iron Man and Captain America teamed up (like the opposite of Civil War).

Cap 4 post credit scene is going to be Sam flying down onto an island and landing in front of a beach house on a remote island. Steve Rodgers walks out the house as we remember him still young looking because he was wearing a Widows mask at the end of Endgame, and looks at Sam to ask “There is a fight coming isn’t there?” Sam answers, “I promised it would be the only circumstance I ever came here under, btw, hows the girl holding up.” Steve turns around as Nat walks out the house and says, “Great seeing you Sam, we knew this was too good to last forever.” Steve looks at Nat and Sam and says, “We also know we’re Avengers, Forever.” SCREEN FADES TO BLACK.

They wrote themselves into a corner with cap and iron man. Their arcs are done so cap’s return can really only be temporary. They won’t just rip away the mantle from sam just when he got it so you kind of have to put him in a more nick fury type of position and when the contract is over they need to have cap go back to peggy.

I don't care what anyone says, Cap and Tony never should've been taken out this universe so soon period. We need Tony and Steve in Secret Wars and they should fight Kang The Conqueror. I want both characters back. People cried when Tony died in Endgame, but, I always cry when Steve is old and gives Sam the shield. That scene and score just makes me so sad. Cap is one of my favorites.

No. Feige knows now he made a mistake getting rid of the Avengers too soon. And the fans did not like the fillers movies that went into how the multiverse came in to explain where the Xmen and the Fantastic 4 come from. So Feige made those mistakes and he must know it now and how he is getting the movies back to where they were at the end of Avengers Endgame. I presume they want back there. Certainly Bob Iger wants them back there.

It can still include a T'Challa variant. The various Black Panther and T'Challa stories can still be adapted to his son on the new Earth after Secret Wars.

Yeah, it's cool for all the actors. Come back, that's cool, but we need the writers and the good directors. We need the Russo brothers. And they're not coming back and they are the ones who wrote those last Avengers movies and the last 2 Cap movies. Arguably the Russo brothers were more important than Feige.
