The ASWB Clinical Exam/Master Exam is a test that was made to determine whether or not an individual's level of knowledge of social work in a clinical setting is sufficient. You will have four hours to complete 170 multiple choice questions, including 20 pre-test questions, that test your knowledge in Human Behavior, Diversity Issues, Diagnosis and Assessment, Psychotherapy, Communication, Therapeutic Relationships, Professional Ethics, Clinical Supervision, Practice Evaluation, Service Delivery, and Clinical Practice and Management. To register, you must have at least a Master's degree from a social work program, and two years of clinical social work experience.

Phil you were with me in the exam room today !! I missed it by 2 pts totally bummed but I knew were to come for motivation!! Never cried so much ever 🤣2 pts was a low blow for me ! But I am not defeated !! I will go back in the exam room and kick it directly in the chest !! Thanks bud 🦋

Just graduated with my MSW today. I’ve taken the test twice now and have failed by 3 and 6 questions. I’m ready to get the test over with and pass already.

I apologize for not getting back to you until now as things have been busy on my end. The box has the acronym and types of questions you can see on the exam. The acronym is a tool that can help you understand the meaning of the answer choice relative to the question.

Hi Phil, can you share a bit about why in #3, why C doesn't count as a "do nothing" answer? This seems like an inaction and would be leaving folks to their own devices and also not specifically related to the problem listed in the question. Thanks for your help and videos!

I appreciate you rocking with me 🤓 C is not considered a do nothing because it is empowering the couple to utilize their own skills which is helping them get closer to their treatment goal (increase the amount of communication in their relationship).
