The ASWB Clinical Exam/Master Exam is a test that was made to determine whether or not an individual's level of knowledge of social work in a clinical setting is sufficient. You will have four hours to complete 170 multiple choice questions, including 20 pre-test questions, that test your knowledge in Human Behavior, Diversity Issues, Diagnosis and Assessment, Psychotherapy, Communication, Therapeutic Relationships, Professional Ethics, Clinical Supervision, Practice Evaluation, Service Delivery, and Clinical Practice and Management. To register, you must have at least a Master's degree from a social work program, and two years of clinical social work experience.

I’m confused because in #1 it just says older sister it doesn’t say how much older. The sister could be 9 yo and the client be 8 yo.

I thought the same thing, however even if the sister was 9(or any age), it still isn't appropriate for children to be viewing porn, so the answer would still be to contact CPS.

Super excited I learned about your videos in a LCSW study group!! Your video gave me the extra boost & confidence I needed to continue preparing for my retest. I’ve been sooooooooooo overwhelmed with studying & following generic study curriculums. I thoroughly enjoyed your motivation speech and how to break down the questions. Failed my first LMSW exam by 1 point, restarting my studying after scheduling the exam again. Feeling down about how I did on these 5 questions. 1 for 5. Posting this to call myself out for wallowing kinda. Gonna be using a lot of Phil videos until my exam end of June.

I think the question 2 should choose C. because there is suspicious of neglect since the father was overdoes heroin and the boy mentioned he has been taking care of this siblings. It's not a 14 years old boy's responsibility to take care of his sibling and we are not a CPS worker; therefore, we don't do investment.

I just have a quick question for the first practice question, the reason I got it wrong is because we don't know how old the sister is and she could be a minor, so I thought we didn't have enough information to suspect and report abuse. I def am wrong, but is it far fetched that my brain went there first?

I appreciate you rocking with me 🤓 If his sister is a minor, then two minors have possession of sexually explicit content and are viewing it leisurely. I would not say your thought process is far-fetched, since it is a possibility. At the same time you want to go back to the question to determine whether it impacts your responsibilities as a social worker.

@@PhilintheGaps oh I see, thank you Phil!! Your videos are great and so helpful. My LMSW exam is tomorrow morning. I did the ASWB practice exam last week and needed a 97 to pass and got 106. I've been reviewing those questions/concepts over the last week. do you think that a 106 was a good starting point? I'm hoping to be able to pass with a bit higher security

@@Nanikidane It is my pleasure to be able to serve🙏🏻 The only thing that dictates whether you PASS or fail the exam is the actual exam, therefore your score on the practice exam is not "good," or "bad," it simply is. I would recommend going into the exam trusting yourself to go into the exam to KICK IT DIRECTLY IN THE CHEST!!!! 💥

Additionally, we are unaware whether dad lived in the home, as well as where the overdose occurred at. There are a lot of uncertainties and assumptions without asking the client.
