James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad will bring back some characters from the original film, but there are also plenty of new characters who will be making their debut in the soft reboot, and they’re played by great actors like Idris Elba, Alice Braga, and Peter Capaldi. Here's some irony for ya: The Bloodsport mantle was later taken up by a white supremacist who had no idea the original was a black man. The two eventually ended up in the same prison, where they fought to the death over the rights to the name.

The way James Gunn does his movies, there's probably gonna be an example character, but a lot of them will probably start dieing in the middle, and all the way to the end. Javelin is a good example of a character you can see for sure dying right away Imagine he throws a javelin Enemy sends it back into him bam Thinker and Weasel also were mentioned in this video to not get along in comics and both died so most likely near the start Weasel kills thinker, thinker gets flags to kill weasel Bam there 3 DEAD King Shark, Boomerang, Harley are most likely living there staple characters of the squad and 1 of them is kinda of a Icon for the DCEU(psst it’s Harley not like she was a main character in the first suicide squad, had a movie about her and some other female superheroes but mostly her, and not like she is returning for a sequel? Soft reboot? Or whatever this one is referred as)

These Tertiary characters getting the spotlight in their first live action debut is pretty great. The MCU connection is great from Guardians of the Galaxy Vols 1 and 2 and the Thor franchise.

@@bryann_7197 - Yep, I saw the episode "Central City Strong" ; I must say, it was a wonderful surprise to see Mr Dastmalchian in the _Arrowverse_ again! I honestly wasn't sure he would ever come back, since he last (and only) episode was in The Flash season 3 ^^' Between *The Flash* season 7 and *The Suicide Squad* 's new trailer, it's been a great last few days for fans of David & DC. This man's life was really changed by DC, between The Dark Knight, Gotham, The Flash, The Suicide Squad... (and of course Marvel with both Ant-Man movies) Can't wait for August to finally see Polka-Dot Man in live action \o/ (and him playing in *Dune* in October is a great bonus, I would have watched the movie anyway, but it's cool he's in it)

That’s the point of Suicide Squads origins in the comics. A bunch of lame villains that are just loose threads in the DCU and the suicide squad gives the character a chance to close that thread.

I like Weasel and Javelin: Seems like Javelin can be awesome a close range and long distant combat. I really hope Weasel can turn into a weasel like the Hulk. That would be funny and give him a wolverine personality. When he is human he carries around a weasel mask like the first rendition. Just a stretch to make him seem cool.

On the cast reveal trailer, they didn't list who plays King Shark. On the panel they said the guy they had only did the motion capture and was the on set King Shark. Taika Waititi is on the cast list, I bet he voices him. Who better to voice a giant murdering shark person than Taika?
