BREAKING: Thomas Tuchel has confirmed he will not stay on as Bayern Munich head coach next season.
Tuchel said: 'It's the final press conference at Sabener Strasse. We stay with the agreement we had in February. We had talks like it was reported in the last week but we couldn't find an agreement, so we stay to the agreement we had in February."

He would have been great. Unfortunately, FSG and the hierarchy at the club don't want a manager who has a backbone and stands by his choices. They want a head coach whom they can control.

@@abhilashsathyamoorthi8221 This is moronic. You are basically implying Jurgen had no backbone. He most definetely did stand by his choice perhaps too much with certain players. Also any manager should be expected to work with the club rather than against it. The problem is with owners like at Spurs were they are so incompetent you can't find a common ground. FSG aren't the best but the only issue they have is with limited spending, that's a club thing and it would be ridiculous to go into a club knowing that they'll give you pennies and yet still complain about dollars. FSG would be fine with a manager like Ange, he has a backbone but is willing to work under a clubs constraints (within reason, he may be leaving soon due to Spursy supporters).

Very wise move, especially with a few major clubs in the EPL now looking for a new manager next season. Tuchel is still a world class tactician and manager, imo an even better one than ETH for instance.

@@StrikeBolteafc None of us have any real idea whether Tuchel will be successful for not if he goes to United. All I know is I just believe Tuchel is a better overall tactician and manager than ETH and some other managers in the top level of EPL atm.

Looool so the club told us all in February that they were getting rid of Tuchel at the end of the season, then realised that nobody else wants the job and asked him to stay?! 🤣🤦🏾♂️ I respect big football clubs, but sometimes they conduct themselves in an unsavoury manner. Bayern definitely deserve to be without a coach this summer.
