I didn't know that peripheral and central patterns of vascularity in breast mass mean opposite comparing to lymph nodes, thank you

Hi there- No, Doppler Ultrasound definitely does not replace Mammography. Mammography is the gold standard test for finding breast disease and it can pick up many things (like calcifications, distortion and asymmetry) that ultrasound cannot see at all. Doppler Ultrasound is only a very small piece of an ultrasound exam and never performed without the rest of the ultrasound. Because a Mammograms is better than ultrasound, ultrasound is only used as a “helper” test for Mammography, to evaluate very specific Mammography findings, unless there is a very specific reason why a Mammogram cannot be performed.
