Another important detail I forgot to mention: the massive pool of ancient energy that was supposedly under Hyrule Castle. It's implied that this area had its own ancient furnace, similar to the ones found in Akkala and Necluda. The reason I never thought to include this detail is because I have a whole other theory talking about it as well as other interesting stuff. Check it out here if you want to know more! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jb-BrbxqqdOsnHk.html

Hey by the way the video that you've linked there is shown in the reveal trailer that there flows malice up, where the pipes are.But why does it split in 4 parts ,when there are only 3 known thing where energy is needed,Akala,hateno and hyrule castle. So i am asking myself where does the fourth malice string flows? Has it something to do with the rising of hyrule castle, or is this due to the rising of the ancient laboratory? Please like this comment so he sees it. (And sorry if my English is not that good,i'm german)(and also whanted to say that i love your content,bro.Keep it up)

You're overlooking a detail which explains a great deal of what is going on with the observatory and the excavation and why Hyrule worked so hard to gather the Sheika tech. Keep in mind that we know that the remains of Ganondorf exist deep under the mountain that the observatory was constructed on. Furthermore, the castle was then built over the observatory. Since the 5 pillars containing guardians are Sheika tech we can conclude that they were intended to guard Ganondorf's burial site. So why the observatory? Simple, its a clock. Constellations have long been used to track the passage of time over very long periods, so it would seem that the Sheika knew something about Ganondorf which required a clock of this nature. Perhaps they knew there was only so long he could remain imprisoned in the stasis imposed by the Sheika monks. Odds are the observatory was an alarm clock intended to awaken an army of guardians to battle Ganondorf. Furthermore, to ensure the secrecy of this failsafe, the Sheika went to great lengths to keep the observatory secret in order to prevent sabotage but the outer wall was discovered by accident - maybe during some work to expand the library section of the castle. Once they found a way into the observatory they realized that it was nearing the time for Ganondorf to return, so effort was made to excavate the technology across Hyrule. They may not have known that the technology to defeat Ganon was meant to be kept secret. But they underestimated the Triforce of Power as it allowed Ganondorf's hatred and malice to manifest ahead of his actual release from stasis and he turned the mecha army against Hyrule.

Very interesting!
@KryyssTV

It does raise the question though. Did the excavation of the technology lead to Ganondorf being made aware of these plans against him, through his minions and followers, therefore causing him to create the malice on purpose to corrupt the Sheika tech or was the malice manifested by accident (or on an unconscious level) and just so happened to me able to corrupt the Sheika mechs? I guess BotW2 will explain more. I'm glad you found my input useful.

Funny, I was working on this exact theory two weeks ago. I came to the conclusion that the Astral Observatory had been sealed due to the king from 10,000 years ago wanting to hide the Sheikah technology in the castle. It's stated in the Master Works that the king of Hyrule had banned all Sheikah technology. It would be hard to hide something like the observatory since it's part of the castle as far as I can tell.

As expected, the Great Hall in particular looks amazing.

Yet there is nothing you can see, no amount of bombing will reveal anything. No koroks, nothing. Except the tree, dead as it appears, spawns the stal enemies when you first get on it. I know this is very late but I have a theory of the eighth heroine. The eighth heroine could of actually be a male. This could be why it is outcasted. The gerudo’s no voe rule for the town may be a result of this as botw is actually one of the few games that gerudo actually prevent men from getting in. In oot the let you pass after defeating all the warriors and any other time is just them defending their outpost. Remember that man that gave you the clothes to get into the town? He looks a awful lot like a gerudo and this ties into the theory, what if one of the heroines was secretly a male and when the secret was revealed he was outcasted. The mirrored text may symbolize the opposite gender and the missing sword is definitely the stripping of honor. This is only lightly supported at best but would like you to take a good look at it and iron out anything wrong

If the Eighth Heroine is a male Gerudo, then he would have to be Ganondorf

Maybe the Eighth Heroine was indeed Ganondorf which would further support him being outcasted, especially after the destruction he brought. Maybe when he was alive he ordered the Eighth Heroine statue created in his honor kind of like how Egyptians made statues of himself.

In BotW Hylia is prayed to a lot. Hylia is the golden goddess. Her light is like the sun. She was worshipped in Skyloft. The 3 goddesses from OoT are also always portrayed like comets flying through space. The sky and the divine are strongly connected. This is also the case in Christianity, a major influence on the Zelda series. What if the Shiekah in their quest for knowledge tried to understand the divine, tried to understand Hylia. So they looked upwards, towards the sky and towards the goddesses. We know that the royal family eventually banished the Shiekah and made them give up their knowledge and research. This mimics the story of Galileo Galilei and (again) Christianity / the Pope. Galilei also looked to the stars for knowledge and in the process discovered something that he shouldn’t have. This lead to his banishment and the people in power tried to discredit him. He is also strongly associated with binoculars and telescopes (although he did not invent them, that’s a myth).

Christianity and Catholicism are two extremely different things. Catholicism focuses mainly on the worship of Mary, because she was chosen by God to give birth to Jesus, God incarnate. However, God did not choose her because she was holy. Christians believe (according to the Bible) that she was a sinner just like everyone else, and was chosen because of her apparent inadequacy to be chosen, as an example that God can and will accept you into His Kingdom as you are, provided you only ask and repent. The Pope in Catholicism is also apparently allowed to edit the Bible and forgive sins, a right only really given to God himself. The example you are referring to is Catholicism. Still, interesting connection! :)

Galelio was given a fair trial and was basically put under house arrest for contract fraud. He tried to publish some findings aboit ocean waves without proper peer review, when he was being paid simply to verify Kant's equations. A play from the late 1800s created the modern myth that it was some kind of barbaric procedure. The catholic church, taken as a whole throughout 2000 years, is a relatively fair and rationale organization, having served as the root source for the modern university system. A few bad examples of corruption doesn't negate that its impact on humanity over the past 2000 years has been mostly positive. I'm not a catholic but I do respect them, and advocate respect for them. You just don't get universities without their role in history. That aside, while Christianity might have an influence on Zelda, I'm not so sure about Catholicism specifically however.

The grading system? If so, that's not a compliment. The grading system sucks quite a lot.
@TheTrueHolyDarkness
@TheTrueHolyDarkness 3 жыл бұрын
@@ravioli3807 Essentially, the university system is the offshoot of a bunch of bored librarian monks having too much free time on their hands so they ended up debating each other a lot. To deep dive for an answer, we'd have to review the Italian Renaissance and Christian Enlightenment eras of philosophical thinking. Which is something I can't afford to do at the moment, though I advocate for your own knowledge and appreciation for history, that you set out to discover good sir. :) Why wasn't the concept of universities invented in say, ancient Egypt for instance? Now, as I think about it, the Greeks and their forums must've had their influence as well in the history behind how "peer review" sprang forth. Western history is defined by Judeo-Greco thought patterns after all. But such is the homework of entire philosophy courses. Still, if you'd wish to give your own argument behind the origins of "peer review" by all means, do so. Until then, violations of contract and "peer review" is basically what the real story of Galileo is about, not that the Church was afraid of science. Their influence is also responsible for the notion of Hospitals and charities after-all. If there's something wrong with that sentence, feel free to explain how. Honestly, I think they intentionally skipped discussing under the castle further because in the BOTW Sequel trailer you see Hyrule Castle going upwards after Ganondorf’s corpse moves. I feel like the energy source mentioned under the castle is an allusion to the green energy hand you see sealing Ganondorf and that is also why he never resurrected again. He has been sealed there for a while so the malice seeping out is how he resurrected his rage. Also, maybe the Astral Observatory was actually used for predictions and trying to understand when the seal would fail (probably a far stretch). But I’ve been putting probably wayyyy too much thought into this.

What if in doing the excavations, this led to the return of gannon. We see many blocked off tunnels and closed passage ways. What if they mined into an area that awakened the calamity but, collapsed, by time or other means. We also know that they were in the middle of the excavation before the reawakening of the calamity. We know the greed of Hyrule's kings and how he ordered the excavation before the awakening of the calamity. What if they mined into the chamber we see in the botw 2 trailer but, didnt reawaken gannon, just allow the malice to pour out from the chamber and start the awakening of malice. Idk just a thought about the reawakening and why gannondorf's body didnt awaken as well.
@Sterl500
@Sterl500 5 жыл бұрын
Another question is why the Astral Observatory itself seems to have malice flowing through it like the guardians do, especially since the energy balls that come from the castle itself in the flashback cutscene with King Rhoam are seen erupting from the center up, almost as if they were being funneled through something. I'm thinking it has to do with how the Sheika may have been harnessing Ganon's life force to power their machines and may also have something to do with why they were exiled to begin with. It even kind of explains the Yiga, defectors from the Sheika. If the Sheika were harnessing Ganon's malice, maybe some of their members became corrupted/fascinated, maybe spiritually or mentally by the energy itself. The chamber itself may be able to focus the energy that is being gathered in the trailer and maybe that energy is tied to astrology. Like why is there even a blood moon? What does the moon have to do with the resurrection of monsters in the first place? Why only on a full moon? Maybe the observatory helps in adjusting to the ebb and flow of the moon and the stars. There's a lot of mystery here. All of it fascinating.

Great video! I have some comments that may be of your interest. First, can we all agree that this Hyrule's Castle is fucking amazing? I mean, it's very well planned, and really passes the vibe of a useful stronghold and glorious palace. I REALLY wish to see it at his original form. The architecture, the details, the realistic defenses, everything is impressive. Second, regarding the questions about the Royal Family's knowledge of the Astral Observatory. I suppose they did know it existed. The lab was probably build 10000 years ago, during the era where Sheikah lend their technology at full pace to Hyrule Kingdom. When they were "banned", the king of the moment probably choose to seal that chamber only, since disrupting it too much could damage the castle, as it was build in the ground base of it. Lastly, your Stallnox theory makes perfect sense! Defeating a monster of that caliber would probably be the bare minimum to become a knight.

normal mines would also make sense under a castle of that size and age, especially as the main defense of a royal family castles are meant to function like small towns, independent of any town outside of its walls, which is why they usually have things like a cathedral, a dining hall, a blacksmith, a stable, a mine would make sense and would prolong its ability to work independent of the outside world because they can get their own metal

Honestly, I feel like Calamity and Dark Beast Ganon were pretty easy, but I feel they were overshined by the Thunderblight Ganon who I felt was the strongest boss. Idk, I just feel like his Calamity form became a little predictable and Dark Beast Ganon literally just stood there. Note; new subscriber here! Something I’m surprised you didn’t mention: the supposed vast store of the ancient energy liquid beneath Hyrule Castle. It's my understanding that placing a room underground significantly lowers it's value as a base for observing the sky. Observatory does not make any sense. You can also prove that they knew the room existed because the central room floor spans the gap you eventually fall into. One does not accidentally build a floor over a gaping hole. That's not a theory, that's a fact. Moreover, as you fall, you can see clearly Hylian carved designs and stone bricks similar to the castle (lnstead of the material of choice by the sheikah).

Exactly. Have it be that the game starts during the reconstruction efforts of Hyrule Castle and Castle Town, where the ruins out in the field have been rebuilt enough to ship supplies and construction materials to Hyrule Castle Town, which then funnels resources to the castle after Link clears it of monsters permanently. This then leads to an excavation crew digging out the buried ruins deep inside the castle, and eventually uncovering the Great Hall, which turns out to be hiding the entrance to Ganondorf's sealing chamber deep beneath the castle.... Edit: Yeah, none of this aged well.

I have a theory or rather something I would like looked at, at least. At the end of BOTW Zelda talks about how her sealing power has diminished after holding the Calamity back for a 100 years. Could that mean that Zelda may not have enough power to help Link banish Ganondorf when he returns? Does she have enough power left over to get it done? Will that be one of the plots in BOTW 2? What are your thoughts? Let me know. Thanks for all you do. In my opinion you are the best theorist I subscribed too.😁👍🏼

You got me interested when you said something about the Sheikah being obsessed with star constellations. I did some research about the divine beasts and it turns out every single one represents each season, but since the game was obviously made in Japan we would have to look at the constellations that would be seen from Japan’s point of view. Vah Naboris which is the resemblance of a giant Camel can be the representation of the constellation Camelopardilas which is most visible in February, Feburary in Japan is Winter. Vah Medoh, the resemblance of a giant Eagle is the representation of the constellation Aquila which is visible at Summertime in Japan. Vah Ruta, The resemblance of a giant Elephant is the representation of the constellation Cepheus, Cephues is visible in Autumn in Japan. Finally Vah Rudania takes the form of a giant lizard, the problem here is that the lizard constellation is most visible in November. I got stuck here since we can not have two Autumn constellation, so instead I chose not to think of Vah Rudania as a lizard but a Chameleon. When I tried to see what Season the Chameleon constellation is in it turned out to be in April, this would make it visible at Spring in Japan. Now we have all four seasons that each divine beast represents. Also since the divine beasts were made 10000 years before they were actually found what if the lizards were actually chameleons and later evolved into lizards.
