Yes taking care of parents is so worth it. I have been caregiver of my parents for over 15 years. The last 4 years has been full time and I would not change it for the world. We moved to a different state 4 years ago and I cashed in my 401k and have been living off of that and would not change it for anything. I am so blessed to be able to have this time. My mother passed away 3 years ago and now it is just my 87 yo father by myself and am more than blessed. I feel sorry for my older brother who lives like 15 miles away from us and has not seen my dad since thanksgiving day nor has he contacted my dad since dads 87 birthday and then it was only by text. HIS LOSS AND MY BLESSING.

I do have American Bresse but hubby hates the meat. They are prolific layers and the good broody hens will work together to keep the babies safe. Even the roos will help. PoorBoy loves the Cornish Cross meat so I order & raise those twice a year. He also likes the meat from the German Bielefelder and they’re my absolute favorite breed so I have 2 flocks of those. I sell hatching eggs locally for pick up only. Then I have a tiny personal flock of French Black Copper Marans for pets and their dark eggs lol.

Don't know why people like corners crossed chickens I had a few raised I found them very tough did not taste that great it ended up feeding them to the dogs I find even the chicken thighs from Walmart taste way better that says something about corners cross they're always dying you have to watch what you how much you feed them because they're little pigs and they have heart attacks all the time die I am trying to get into raising barred rocks yeah I know they don't lay that great of eggs all the time but the nice and plump but there another thing about the Bard rocks they're very mean chicken they beat up all the other chickens all the time and even the rooster having problems because the roosters scared of them and he's a big boy but see I bought chickens from a pet store and got kind of screwed over because they weren't what they said they were I got what I thought was supposed to be Easter eggers olive aggres in Langhorne turned out that they were silky mixed barnard mixed chickens they don't lay good they're small eggs customers don't like small eggs they like the large eggs so that screwed me for two years now I got seventeen chickens I don't want and they're only good basically for chicken broth so now I finally got myself another new incubator hopefully this one works and I can try to get some bigger chickens if the rooster get on top of those barred rocks so I will only incubate the bigger eggs and hopefully they're fertile or maybe I'm putting the rooster in freezer camp love your videos keep up the good work and take care Hate to tell you this but you're wrong about corners cross chickens I watched the video on LG Homestead and she has some corners cross and got eggs from them incubated them and is now raising the baby chickens and the very big❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
