I have this watch and absolutely love it, although it seems that most people hate it! I’d always lusted after an original 1004 and couldn’t believe my eyes when they released this - knew I had to have it. This Outerknown is by far the coolest version, the dial is just spectacular, along with the creamier lume.

Disappointed that the heritage was a limited run model. It's worth keeping around at least in one or two color options. Thin, unique diver, great on nato straps or mesh bracelets. My favorite Breitling in recent times

I love the brown dial and slim tapered case.. I hate the "outerknown" case back and Nato strap...

Why would you make a dive watch and not put numbers on the crystal or add a screw down crown and an appropriate amount of WR

How do you use the bezzle on this ( and Heritage etc) for timing considering it has no numbers? You have to count the hashmarks? Seems really unusable/ impractical... but maybe I am missing something? I posted this on your other review but you did not respond... please respond.

Vintage pieces often did not have numerals on diving bezels, like the original upon which this Breitling is based, hence why this modern version doesn't have them either. Beyond a certain depth it becomes very difficult to easily read the numerals anyway, as light doesn't reach much lower than 200m below the surface.

@@mpeters4731 Thanks for your thoughts. I know they are trying to stay in homage but I love to use my Is bezzke with a glance all day long in the gym and so forth. I would totally snap up the black super ocean heritage ii otherwise. Beautiful watches these Heritage!

What I don't get if it's eco friendly why the high price tag? Usually mesh strap or leather strap adds a few more euro's on it but this one has nylon mesh. Not to mention the movement is nothing spectacular. Yes it looks great, especially the ladies coloured ones (teal or green), but they are asking more than 4000 EUR on it. If this would have been sold at around 3000 EUR maybe then it would have been a very good recommendation.

If they went all vintage with the bezel turns and designs then why go ceramic I truly don’t understand? They could have done matted ceramic if that’s the case and also 100m is pretty weak the original had 200m would have still been ultra thin with 2892 they used. I truly don’t know what they’re doing at Breitling sometimes

Breitling fan here don't love this watch. Want this vintage look so what I did get a Captain Cook from Rado. Better specs more options and way less expensive. It you want a retro diver from Breitling spend a little more and get the Super Ocean Heritage.42mm. Again a ton of colors and options and a real diver. To be this watch is an expensive gimmick watch. Sorry to be harsh. Just my option. Disclaimer I have the Captain Cook 42mm in green/Bronze and the Super Ocean Heritage.42mm B20.

The Rado Captain cook is a great Superocean 57 Homage Alternative- this is a full re issue of the 1004 and not a gimmick with its bi rotation bezel, water resistance and thickness that the original had. Breitling's finish though is of much higher quality in every aspect to Rado and its a watch that has its own design and history. Enjoy your Rado and Heritage 2

I went full on for the whole gimmick if it was one and got the gold bezel :) I had some issues about paying over 5000 for a watch with a push in crown and an ETA or Selita movement as I have been very strict about power reserve over the last few years, but this watch is just too nice, I liked it when it came out a while back. It has charm and is fun. I stopped off at an Omega boutique to look at the railmaster as comparable prices, but it lacks charm, and my wife hated it. If by myself I may of gone with my head and said the railmaster makes more sense on every level, but I don't have a Breitling and the boutique is much better :)
