I had an algorithm which could traverse and find 99% of possible solutions according to my samples of the 2 spare puzzles, but my algorithm got nowhere near a solution and got to the end of testing before the deadline finished. I concluded I had spent some time proving that it is impossible to solve and I knew there would be no solution published. I knew for a fact that nobody would claim the prize and the puzzle was a farce. Next thing I had to do was figure out how the creator could guarantee there was no solution. Thats the real interesting problem.
