When you said you’re making your best friend, that hit me. 😢 What a wonderful outlook. My first child was also a girl. She’s 8 now, and it’s so cool to have a close relationship with her and built-in best friend. When I had another baby (a boy) I couldn’t fathom my heart growing more to accommodate him, but it absolutely exploded with more love. What a blessing. ❤

I’m 24 weeks pregnant for the first time with a boy, it’s so strange and cool to see the body change. It’s different but a blessing knowing your baby is growing in there. Definitely feel you on the unsolicited advice 😅 I’m a little worried about that even after the baby is born. At the end of the day, we’re the mother/parents and we have to make the right decisions for us and our family, can’t please everyone anyways.

You’re going to be an amazing mom ❤ my best unsolicited advice I wish I got - do not compare yourself, your baby and your overall experience to anyone else. Comparison is the killer of joy. Do what works for you.

Yea I’m feeling isolated. I kept asking mom how her pregnancy was, but her last one had been over 20 years ago. Being pregnant is so overwhelming, but try to enjoy all the kicks. You will miss them so much.

Congratulations, Bre! Glad you found a prenatal that works for you! I want to share some information that I have learned and found helpful for thriving pregnancies/babies. For all first time mamas, here is my top 3 things that I look for in a prenatal (pregnant with my 3rd): 1. Is it bioavailable? (Absorbable by your body in an optimal way; most synthetic vitamins don't support overall metabolism and can cause a imbalance) 2. What is the source? I look for 100% grassfed, finished, or organic whole food source. 3. Look at your individual needs/blood work.. are you lacking iron or need folate, desicated liver will work wonders. Are you needing vitamin C? Acerola cherry vitamin is the way to go. Vitamin D? (actually a hormone not a Vitamin) - eat animal foods rich in Vitamin D like pature-raised eggs, grassfed liver, fish/cod liver oil, quality unprocessed dairy, and get plenty of sun light and outdoor time. *Extra tip: don't forget the importance of minerals! Magnesium, copper, potassium.. they are essential for a thriving pregnancy, overall health! One of my go to brands is Perfect Supplements. This information has taken me several years of research; it's not as simple as a google search when there is big money involved and lots of competitors in the so called "health" industry. Knowledge is power! 🤗

Ok so tips for Birth: having done it naturally twice and epi once…… counting idk what it is about it but as I have a contraction come on I start to count the contraction so every two-3 count I breathe in then breathe out (in through nose out through mouth). The counting truly got me through some of the worst pain. Listen to your body and allow for your body to tell you what you need to do. In order to help me do this I practiced meditation prior to births…… sending you so many hugs and blessings as you continue in this awesome life path!

I have never heard of this technique before but it only makes sense!!! Thank you for sharing that with me. Did you go to a class or read a specific book for the meditations before births? Or was it just time you set aside?

@@brerook honestly just time I set aside daily to do breathe work just breathing and being one with myself whether outside or inside. Listening to my breathing, holding my stomach, focusing on the moment practicing on being in the present with myself while also breathing through my nose out my mouth. If you can learn to control your mind in the moment you can breathe better through your contractions

I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant and yes, it can feel very lonely! A really lonely experience.. Thank you for saying that. Even though I was an athletic person pretty much through my whole life, I am facing a lot of challenges during my pregnancy. High risk of preeclampsia, premature contractions since week 15, gestational diabetes and the list goes on....! But I strongly believe this body of mine will deliver my baby as it is supposed to

Update: Now I am on week 35, still doing ok and feeling less lonely. Gestational diabetes recently had me take insulin to manage it. However, my only wish is to deliver a very healthy baby and update that in a few weeks

Im so proud of you! You're doing an amazing job focusing on YOU & little foot. 🧡 You two are the busiest people right now. Helping each other through your trials. You may not be able to fit in your old clothes, but your body is able to fit in a growing soul. (Corny me...I know 😅) But it's ok. Weight gain is beautiful & healthy. It means more nutrients. & she needs all of it to continue growing stronger, making it into a crazy world like this. Plus it'll strengthen them lungs 😈 cause she gonna getcha both good. Theo gonna pack his bindle full of dog treats & toys & retire after hearing her, if not, he'll just howl along with her. 😂

@@brerook girllllllll I got you…. Ok Number #1: when people say sleep when they sleep … do it …. The biggest thing for you is being able to get that much needed sleep even four hours of REM will do wonders for you. 2) spend those first few weeks developing that bond, taking pictures of you two together, not worrying about work or what’s to come but living in the present ( a journal helped me stay in the present and I was able to document the things I’ve learn along the way to gift to my daughter when or if she decides her littles). 3) have a Station set up: by your bedside preferably of your favorite snacks, water (Body armour did wonders for my milk if you decide to breastfeed 💕). Keep some Xtra strength Tylenol on the side too those little packs perfect for when the uterus starts to pull (during breastfeeding ) truly helps. Also under eye patches to help with those early Am feedings I found they helped me with my self esteem bc some days you won’t be able to have time to put on a face of makeup but just a little pick me up helps. 4) Personal Cleaner Spray and cottenelle toilet wipes for refresh of the body. You find as you start to return to normal you tend to sweat at night, and we’ll it’s a good little refresh in all areas of the body until you find time to take a shower. 5) Always wearable Panties with an extra pad insert came in clutch during the extended period after birth. I found myself feeling rest assured that I wouldn’t leak if I had them on plus an extra pad. 6) a tub of Vaseline helps with your lips and nipples from cracking. Grab some liquid IV to place in your water as well, for hydration is key. 7) I also asked on our registry for guests at our babyshower to gift us with meal prep service (comes in handy and is a life saver some days). 8) week leading up birth, get waxed all over. That way going into labor and after labor you won’t have to keep up with much grooming and you can feel more confident in yourself. If you don’t wax then as soon as my water broke or felt like it was go time, now listen this is important did it with all my three…. I took a shower, exfoliated, shaved…. So going into labor you feel fresh and clean since it can be messy sometimes lol, and lord knows when you will be able to take another lol. 9) pack your hospital bag by Week 36, so you won’t have to worry about doing that last min. 10) the best advice for postpartum I can give you…. Is to tell you that your feelings are valid. How you feel, the thoughts you think they are all apart of the journey. It’s all normal, go with your gut instinct always. Write it all down so you remember if you ever have a wanting to speak to your doctor in regards to any emotions you may be experiencing. don’t beat yourself up or feel guilty taking time to just be with her. Smell her every given moment, bc that new born smell doesn’t last but man it the best scent in the world. Cuddle much, sing, find joy in the moments that are unexpected, you will do well 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 and you have a wonderful partner to remind you that you got this. You were made to do this 💕💕💕💕
