One of the other members of the IDW again was championed. The intellectual dark web. They're so thoughtful that they can't even express themselves on the regular web. Even though of course they did express themselves on the regular web. And then in the pages of the New York Times.
And made a bunch of money doing it but they're canceled obviously.
Brett Weinstein okay what was this guy a professor of before he whatever created some fake conflict?

Okay so evolutionary biology. I don't know how medically attuned he is. But he is a scientist. And because he talks so slowly with his wife he's considered thoughtful and not knee-jerk. Well, it's not just poor Jordan Peterson who has been subjected to authoritarianism. Jordan can't wank it to the proper sports illustrated cover he wants. And Brett Weinstein is on a plane. And he tweeted at 10: 30 p.m last night. We're being denied nuts on this flight.
It's my favorite. We're.
We we're. yes. I'm speaking for the entire plane. we're being denied nuts on this flight because we have a passenger on board with a nut allergy. Also, we're asked not to consume any nuts we have brought on board. And not to force anyone else to consume nuts even if we believe they're capable of digesting them safely. Now I don't know who he's traveling around with. He likes to consume nuts but whatever. let's just whatever however he and the misses get along with each other.

A clinical psychologist who wrote his thesis on alcoholism nonetheless. Benzo's have been used to treat alcohol withdrawal for decades and decades because it affects the same receptor in your brain as alcohol.

Well, I am also a biologist and I didn't know it. Every biologist studies some more narrow field and shouldn't judge about other fields. I also know little about some aspects of medicine, cause I am a microbiologist and infections are literally the only part of medicine which I know pretty well. Nothing else. But I don't go around judging other fields. Especially on twitter LOL

@@coolsteralpha Not true, plus it's more about minimizing unnecessary dangers that put someone at risk. They took someone's "freedom" away in the most superficial way with "no peanuts". No one is gonna die from NOT eating or being around peanuts, but someone on the confined plane might, so why risk it? So Brett can eat those peanuts he needs soooo badly?? This is like the mask debate/vaccine debate but way more ridiculous. What it comes down to is simple; Brett , and people think like/listen to him, are ignorant and selfish person that would rather move heaven and hell to avoiding doing anything that might make those around them (thst they don't care about whatsoever) saver.

@@cosmosofinfinity That's exactly what it is, Brett doesn't have a peanut allergy and therefore couldn't give an F if he's putting others at risk, in fact! He's the victim! He's being robbed of his freedom and liberty to eat peanuts (while also endangering the lives of others) but there will be collateral damage along the way of being able to eat peanuts when ever, where ever, how ever, you'd like. Even if directly infront of someone with the most severe allergy to peanuts there is. Anything less would be an infringement of his basic liberties and freedom. But you know, F everyone else on the plane and their liberties/freedoms.

If I learned one thing during my post grad degree research it is that just because someone is a professor, has a doctorate or works in academia DOES NOT mean, by any stretch, that you are a smart individual.

I rather think that it's the type of intelligence. It's obvious that Weinstein is representative of a subset of the population that is low in emotional intelligence and possess a specific psychological profile. Oh, and one can never discount simple greed as a motivation for dishonesty and deception.

I used to be a flight attendant. Most people with allergies will tell you when they get on board how severe their allergy is. Most people have it very mild. Occasionally we'd have people on board who would go into anaphylaxis if someone ate nuts 5 rows away. They're usually embarrassed and apologetic and often would offer to buy people other snacks.

My college roommate was allergic to peanuts. One day, he had soup and a peanut had fallen into the soup. Not his bowl, but into the container that he dished his bowl from. And that was enough to force him to inject himself with epinephrine to save his own life. Peanut packages have peanut dust in them, and when you open them up, that dust is dispersed into the air, and airplanes are confined spaces making it much more likely that an allergic person could breath in that dust, who would then go into anaphalactic shock, meaning their heart would stop and they would die with out immediate medical attention. The doctors told us, for our child who has food allergies and requires an epi-pen, that if he has to use it, he needs to be taken to a hospital within 30 minutes for further treatment. So if you are on a 3+ hour flight, and you suffer anaphylaxis shock and have to use your epi pen, you could still die because you are not able to get to a hospital in time.

@@ottam then he’s as incurious as an imbecile. Just when I had suspected allergies I looked into it and discovered a rake of information about possible causes of my problems. He investigated his too. That he doesn’t know how sensitive peanut allergy is shows ignorance in something he has made more than a passing comment about. He judged in ignorance. And it’s forgivable to not know it, but it’s his victimhood mentality and jump to suggesting authoritarianism that’s the real problem here. He’s so sensitive that he has forgotten how to be sceptical. He’s now just reactionary l.

I have a severe nut allergy and have said for years: airlines shouldn't be serving nuts at all, in anything. It's not just those little bags of peanuts; I've been on flights where even the chicken parmesan has had nuts in it, as if they're trying to slip them past you. I'm lucky enough that the airborne part doesn't affect me, but people (including airlines) are still too careless for comfort in such an enclosed environment.

Yeah, it seems like given the severe reactions people can have and the sheer variety of foods available nowadays, they should avoid nuts which many people are allergic to.

This has probably happened on the majority of long-haul flights I’ve been on. And while it’s slightly annoying because I’m partial to those little bags of peanut M&Ms, I’ve never felt compelled to take to social media to express my grief.

Was he out of line for refusing to stay home because of the color of his skin? You think it was acceptable for them to hold the dean hostage, tell him he couldn't use the bathroom, scream and cuss at him nonstop, and allege that he was threatening the students by moving his hands while he spoke? I honestly can't stand Weinstein, his wife, or their fans, but I have no clue how anyone can see him as the aggressor or in the wrong for what happened at Evergreen.

To be fair, one of the many beautiful elements of air travel is the high quality cuisine provided. I too would be aggrieved if I spend all that money and all that time to get a delicious meal only to have my delectable appetizer denied me on account of someone else. Why even get on a plane if you can't enjoy the gourmet bounty?

i never knew that peanut allergies can be airborne myself but i know enough that allergies aren't a joke. ive seen some people break out and wheeze at a party one time. BUT to be fair..im not sure if they were just od however i did saw a puffy looking face.
