Years ago I saw an interview with him. At one point he sat down at a keyboard and played and sang the opening of 'Good Vibrations'. He captured the entire feel of the song all by himself in just a matter of seconds.

paul newman I think it's helped as in others wrote the parts to other instruments. I see how it sounds like a down play of his talent, but I think it's more just a matter of giving some credit where due.

You have to give credits to the lyricists as well. You can't say that Love, Asher and Parks didn't do anything. Mike Love came up with the hook for i get around also wrote all the lyrics for Cal girls and Good vibrations and thats just some of the thing he has done

Agreed. It's like they just want to get their scoop on his drug use and see if he says anything new about it, and he never does. He isn't stupid. He isn't making it up. You heard what he has said in the past so don't deny it!

He is so soft spoken and modest he'd probably reply, "I don't know...I just did my best to have a good voice and put out good music and that's what I want to be remembered for." I think he has even stated he doesn't think he is a "genius" and that he just wrote what he felt and did the best he could.

Plus, songs like Warmth of The Sun and In My Room already hint at his future songs and their richness. At this same time, he was fully producing records for Jan & Dean, The Honeys and Glen Campbell that already hit a high level of studio mastery. The influence of the 50's and early 60's were still in effect in 1964 and he was one of the first to break that mold. The Beatles were still doing Mersey Beat sounds that were new but easily traced back to their roots. One guy who broke away early was British producer Joe Meek, the Everly Brothers did some unique things too heading into '65, but there's a scant few that truly broke through. 1965 changed a lot and doesn't get the credit '66 and '67 do. But look at Beach Boys Today! Wowwww.

Actually I think you make a very good point. The drugs might have helped HIM specifically to write those songs or tap into certain creative energies but that’s only because of his brilliant mind in the first place.

Anthony Monaghan from what I can tell, he was hearing voices (but not voices that said things, more like sounds, he once said he heard screams in his sleep, along with literal music during the day) as early as 1963, and then when he did the LSD the voices became more clear and he was able to make out what they were saying

_Love & Mercy_ has numerous inaccuracies or outright lies. Kind of to be expected with a film biopic, but it's still annoying. Don't take it as gospel.

Kyle Taylor it is genetic. his deceased brothers and his father also had such great hair. probably your father or uncle is bald just like you. stress doesn't cause baldness. brian wilson lived his life in emotional pain, stress. he had several nervous breakdowns but still has a great hair. it is simply genetic.

Yeah the Wilson brothers have amazing hair genetics, Murry had a full head of hair too. That proves that, as Hakan said, stress doesn't cause hair loss, it's all genetic.
