What Brian is saying is absolute the truth. This roster is and will be constructed for Thibbs system. Knicks need to be paitent to add another player that fits under Thibbs system. You don’t just add a superstar to add a superstar, you need to add players that will thrive and work under the system the coach has implemented. GO KNICKS GO

The only player the knicks should be aggressively pursuing to trade for this offseason is Mikal Bridges since that'll give us all the nova infinity stones. If the nets are unwilling to cooperate, the sound move would be to just roll it back next year with the same roster + a healthy Randle. I have no interest in selling the farm for any of the over 30 injury prone stars that could be asking out this summer

@@phamawa Randle doesn't fit. Knicks fans love him because he has won some individual accolades (All NBA/All star) and he's been on the team longer than anybody. Not that hard to guard, really. Teams prefer the Knicks go through Randle. He's a high turnover, low efficiency player. Just a guy padding his stats for a contract.
@phamawa
@phamawa Ай бұрын
@@Michael_Page yeah, I was really gunning for him to be traded because he refuses to play off the ball/off brunson. If he embraced more PnR, Pick n Pop and just iso'd every once in a while then fine but his bball IQ is low imo. He's better off as the 3rd option on an established team. Id rather see a rim runner that plays D in his place. It'll be interesting to see what they do!

3 way trade with Cavs and Nets. We get Mikal Bridges, Nets get DM and Cavs get 4 picks. Dante, Josh, Mitch and Deuce come off bench and no one plays more than 35 minutes. 70 win dynasty. Otherwise we roll it back and settle on 65 wins trading picks for future picks. Still most dominant team in show either way
@noodle123ify
@noodle123ify Ай бұрын
interesting idea, doubt that would even be close to materializing. Sean Marks would want to pair DM with Bridges in that scenario. He's weirdly holding onto Bridges even to the point of devaluing him. Rockets were willing to give up a ton for him mid season. That said, hell ya, the Knicks would be so lethal with him

The only thing this team is missing is a big man who can score 20+ points a game if needed and can shoot 3's, as well as play defense. Even just watching this series, someone like Miles Turner would be a good fit.

The problem is as long as Thibs is here it will be calibrated to fit Thibs & Thibs has never built anything close to a championship level roster in his career. You take prime DRose off those 2011 Bulls they are a .500 team, they had no 2nd Star or option & no shot creation outside of DRose. His Minnesota rosters were mid too. And this NY roster is Brunson & a bunch of tough gritty role players all with limitations. When you watch this Knicks team even if they had Randle, OG & Mitch…they would still have a terrible halfcourt offense because they lack athletic perimeter shot creators. Title contending teams have at minimum 3 shot creators between starters & bench.

THREE things are working AGAINST the Knicks in terms of attracting top flight free agents. 1) Ownership: As Rich’ll tell ya, James Dolan shmeckiest of the shmecky 2)New York media: When they love ya? You’re the prince of the city. But when they don’t. You’re just the latest in a long line of overpaid BUMS.
