New subscriber from Australia! Been a bricky myself for over a decade now (quite a young bloke at age 29) but enjoy learning new tips and tricks from brickies around the world! A wise man once told me you start your apprenticeship and never finish it- meaning there’s always room to learn more ! ❤ well done lads keep up the great work

Thank you for the Channel. I subscribed immediately. I’m a GC in Moscow, ID, USA and nobody does brickwork here, but there’s plenty of existing brickwork (especially chimneys) that needs repair and maintenance. After numerous calls I’ve decided to give it a go.

Considering that pissing rain, you were extremely tidy!!! Oh, and our rain up here in North Wales is far superior in quality and much, much wetter and I should know, I've worked most winters outside because I'm a joiner. To those who don't know, a joiner is exactly the same as a bricklayer, only totally different.

Mark It bloody rains here in cardiff all the time mate officially the wettest city in the UK 🤣🤣🤣 we get dumped on regular but yep hopefully it improves we did 2 days last week 🤣🤣💯👍

John as my nan used to say .hed eat them out of house and home .He makes me laugh with his food. Everyone has there own way that was mine was shown that way 33 years ago now mad how time flies mate. I wouldn't miss the rain or cold one single bit believe me 🤣🤣 let hope i get an offer to work there wouldn't that be great 🤣🤣apart from brad in hes speedos . I’m a beginner doing top edge , my blue bricks have holes this make getting the mortar on the brick really difficult, should I have bought dear without holes?

Bricks with holes are ok not a problem to use 👌

Really want them to stick smear mortar on the base first. Forces mortar into brick surface for better bonding.

Pull brick off after laying it and you can see if joints are 100% full. Few of yours maybe bit light on being full.

All to do with the sand .i think different parts of the uk different sand so different colours thats all 👍
