Ur videos are really doing me a favour in my bricklaying course. I watched ur videos before I started my course which gave me a bit of insight but now that I’m doing the course it is benefitting me a lot! Great vid Stu, takes me back to tech college in the 80's , did a trade trading course when I left school, brickwork, joinery, plumbing etc, I ended up as Plumber, but loved the bricklaying.

Mind me Stu, but you got really good. I can clearly see you passed from tapping the bricks (back in the days/videos) to pressing them down. Nice technique 😉. I'm doing it too and it's really pleasing when you reach the right level 😁. Have a good one mate. Cheers.

Nice and neat, full perps and bed joint exact amount of mortar, without unnecessary moves👌 Obviously you are experienced enough to know how 10mm bed joint looks like but you could use tape measure to be sure every course is gauge!😉

mate its all about the sponge finish with smooth joints lol i like using cavity insulation to finish engineering bricks they come out looking mint!

Nice job dude, I like to put a fourth flick on my perps I find you never have that small void on top of the brick once it's laid, but live the content. Not sure if you have done a dome pizza oven video but that would be cool to see how you get a nice dome, if you ever find time. Thanks from aus

We're all taught when an apprentice, not to hit your level, but we all do it😄 . I carry a two foot level as well , comes in handy. Good vid 👍

I just love the sound of running water and trowel on brick. I new a hod carrier who would go to sleep with the sound of a mixer being cleaned with water and brick's on a cassette tape . another good sound.

Great vid as usual stu. Just an idea but have you thought about doing a live q and a in insta or KZfaq. Answer questions from followers and give Abit of an insight in to your work life, the academy ect. Keep up the good work👍

How do you know the horizontal and vertical spacing between each brick is accurate? In my mind if you were building a house for example, you could end up with one side too long or too high and then the whole house is the wrong size.

Do you only have engineering bricks to lay ? You want to try some renaissance or bovington bricks see how you get on some of the worse bricks I've layed. Nice video.

Cheers Trevor yeah I like Laying engineering while it’s a tutorial for those that want to learn, why make it harder for myself lol but I have layed some terrible bricks in earlier videos. Those that rip you hands to shreds 😂

He has done a video on bricking up a window opening. Door sizes differ whether inside or outside, also now doorways on the ground floor have to be wider to accommodate wheelchair users

no bricklayer has ever explain how they set up the bricks height wise. How do you know if you will end up with full brick on top end or not? is it ok to have half brick on top?

Very good comment, he is not gauging the height of the courses. How does he know he is going to come out on elevation of the brick, could be a window, a rollock course or top of door way

I tried this but the bricks just sink for me and i end up up with uneven joint space. I need more practise.
