Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3 (275/70 R18) new tires on 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 (6.2L)

The stock tires (Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 275/65 R18) had to go. They are a 32" tire that are geared more for off-road use vs on-road comfort, quiet, and smoothness. So I went with the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3 (275/70 R18) tire which 33.2" tall about 11" wide. These Bridgestone Revo 3 tires are whisper quiet on the road with no A/T tire "drama"...like whir-whir-whir-whir (at any speed). Something else that I noticed, these tires feel planted, grippy, and VERY comfortable vs the stock Goodyears. I also tried the Michelin LTX A/T2 on this truck...they are noisier and felt overtaxed (not a 10-ply tire either). The stock Goodyear Duratrac tires are FOR SALE with less than 400 miles on them. *10,000 mile update -- these tires are still excellent. Prob the BEST tire I have ever owned. I have run them on dry pavement, wet, snow, slush, cold/hot...ZERO issues*

Chris, what impact if any on mpg's. The AT4 is rated at lower mpg's due in part to the GY tires... What say you? What do you get City v. Highway for mpg's?

Thank you for this video ! You just solved my tire dilema for my AT4. Although I like the look of the Duratracs the highway noise drives me nuts lol. I like how the Revo 3's fill out the wheel wells better as well.

You're welcome! I had Michelin LTX A/T2's on my 2014 Chevy Silverado. Not bad. I tried that SAME tire on my new 2021 GMC Sierra AT4...and they were not that great. Noise free - yes. But, they felt overworked. I went to the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3 (275/70 R18) and was impressed from the git go. NICE tires. DEEEEEEP sipping. Excellent in the rain/slush. Very good on dry open highway (not noisy at all...just a very distant groan). The stock Duratracs are noisy/annoying at ALL speeds...a great tire that feels pissed off on the road. Off-road...yeah, might be alright. Not 100% sure, but if you can find a slightly wider Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3 in one size wider...might look even better. But, def work with Discount Tire (or some other reputable tire dealer) to get it right for your application. The Revo 3's (what I have) are LOAD E tires! Bonus!

I have the Bridgestone Revo 3 on my 07 Xterra for 3 years now. I'll also be buying them again for my 2021 4Runner soon. The Revo 3 is a really good tire.

They are really great tires...prob underrated. I have had Michelins on my other trucks and even tried a set of four on this truck. Nope. The Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3 is superior in every category. And they are quiet for an A/T tire. The Michelins are quiet too...but, felt weak on this Sierra AT4. The Bridgestones...happy match.

Thanks. Looks are important (to a point). The #1 thing is how well they ride-handle-perform. These tires are seriously quiet and comfortable...grippy.

I was dead set on Michelin A/T tires...but, these Bridgestones are quieter and are also 10-ply (Load E1 rated). Years ago, I didn't mind loud tires A/T tires...thought it was cool. Now, I still want "some" all terrain functionality, but minimized on-road tire noise (and that chunky feeling/vibration -- whirr-whirr-whirr-whirr sounds at any speed). It drives me nuts. What kinda vehicle are you running?

@@ChrisDIYerOklahoma I'm with you Chris. I have a Suburban with 265x70x17 on it now. I had Michelin road type tires on it before the terrible Cooper's I have now. I figured on going back to the Michelin, but will give serious thought to the Bridgestone's. Like you, I want a quiet tire. Thanks for sharing all this. It is helpful.

@@SyberPrepper -- I was dead set on Michelin LTX AT2 tires for my truck...and had them put on (stock size 275/65 R18). They didn't feel, look, or seem right. Discount swapped them out for free. Now, after driving the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3 (upsized, taller, 275/70 R18) I can say around town, they are fantastic...much quieter than the Michelin...and waaaay more comfortable. Pretty impressed so far...but, I have only had them on the truck two days. Load rated E1 (10-ply) too...better for loads, hauling, towing.

@@ChrisDIYerOklahoma Since I'm not driving much these days, I can hold off a little but your tires and sounding like a win. Give us some feedback as time goes on , especially on the sound level when you're on the highway for a while.

I had Dueler A/T Revo's on an xterra I had years ago and they were fantastic! I needed tires for my 2006 Land Rover LR3 and they don't make the Dueler AT Revo 3's in the stock size. But I just had to replace the suspension and I went with a coil conversion that added 2" lift so now I can fit bigger tires. I just ordered a set of 275/65/18's from Costco. Can't wait to get them on it! Thanks for the 10k mile update!

I did a level/lift and got their larger (taller) Revo's on the truck now...even better! These tires are excellent (on road). I haven't done any off-roading (per se') but, I am certain they are fine for mild off-roading.

I have the same truck same color but I have the 3.0 diesel love the truck so far and I’m a Ford guy so that saying something and I did the same thing around the wheel wells with the body color nice truck 👍👍

Nice looking truck and tires. I am currently running some Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT Load Range E 10 ply tires on my F150 Lariat with the FX4 Package and have a really stiff ride with the 10 ply tires. How is your ride quality? Is the ride stiff with the 10 ply? Your feedback is appreciated. Great job on the video! Cheers!

Your truck looks very nice 👍🏼 It would look a lot nicer with the gatorback AT4 mud flaps from truck hardware. I plan to get some for my AT4 🛻💨🔥🔥

Yes. These tires are worth every penny. I haven't been off road with them, but I am sure they are fine for light duty off-roading. As for the rain and wet traction on pavement....A+. I am 52 and have never owned a better tire. Also, quiet as hell on the pavement...bonus! So, can't tell you what to do with your money, but, I am happy like a pig in sh!t with mine. Good luck.

Same truck here but the 23 with LZ0 considering replacing the duratracs with something quieter and larger 295/70/R18. People keep claiming they’ll fit stock height and rims without trimming. 99% road driving but want to keep th aggressive look and not be out of place at the deer lease or camping trips. Just beginning the search seeing your videos. Considering Recon Grapplers and Wildpeaks as well. So many choices for tires these days. And with a huge range of weight for same sizes.

Are these on stock suspension? I have the same wheel size on my truck and the discount tire guy couldn't find this size for my truck either and said they weren't sure if it'll fit. My truck is an older 2012 f150, but i feel like it sits similar to yours. I want to get 275/70R18 on mines too.

Tires look good! Notice any difference in the speedo with the 275/70 tires? Tire calc says it should be off by 3-4%.

I actually have 295/70 on there now with offset wheels. Tire height increased and I corrected the stock speedo using my Pulsar LT and GPS.radar detector and phone. Dead on.

Yes. Discount Tire did all the work making sure everything was safe/correct. I actually went with taller 295 tires (same Revo3's) and "offset" wheels for more poke out. No road noise, excellent tires. Here is the video I did to take a look: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lbKImLqQ3MjRhIU.html

I just picked up a 2015 Sierra Z71 with 17,000 on it, do you think these would work on it with 2" leveling kit

Should be fine...but, def check with the pros (like Discount Tire or places that have experience first). As for these tires, just took a 2,500 mile trip on them. Most of the driving was rainy/wet. Amazing tires. Quiet, grippy, solid braking, and 10/10 driving on wet roads. The sipping is deeeep.

On E load or 10 ply tires you go by tire recommendation not door jamb sticker unless your vehicle came with 10 ply tires from factory. They require higher psi than normal tires. I run mine 50psi unloaded and max is 80psi loaded. Normal tires are a lot less.

We recently purchased a used Chevy Silverado 3500hd with a set of the Revo 3 tires. Currently they have about 27,500 miles. They will probably last until about 35,000 miles. I will say at their current 20-30% tread life they do not perform well in wet road conditions.

Sometimes a shoe doesn't fit or quite work out. It depends on many factors. One guy will be loving these Revo 3's...some will curse them like the devil. Mine are absolutely phenomenal in the wet...best tires I have ever owned. 16,000 miles and they still look/perform like new in all conditions I throw at them. Maybe I got lucky with my set? Thanks for asking. Just had them rotated at Discount Tire after about a year of driving on them. Best freakin' tire I have ever owned on any vehicle. The manager at Discount asked me what I liked about them. I said, they are excellent in wet/slop. Also, still quiet and no drama. Solid purchase.

@@DJR5280 FWIW (your money, your decision) I had those Michelin LTX AT2 on my previous truck...the Bridgestones are quieter and better. I even "tried" the KO2's...super aggressive tire for on-road (noisy and chunky feeling). Prob excellent for off-road use, tho. It all depends on what you want/need...but, it is always good to read reviews from what others are running before dropping $1,000+ on new tires. Good luck!

@@ChrisDIYerOklahoma I went with the KO2s. Discount has a 30 day return. They ride pretty nice actually. They might be overkill though. I ran Firestone Destination AT and put those things through hell off road and they never failed me once.

@@DJR5280 -- Roger that. Very smart to have that 30-day return. Just ride on them for a few weeks and see how they work out. If they are hard to live with, take them back. Tires are like shoes. If they don't fit right, feel right, do what you want them to do, why wear them? Get a shoe that feels good and does what you need it to do. MANY guys love their KO2 tires...just not the right fit for me.

Well I do road service tires only i think u could sell them at 175 each maybe even 200 thats what I would have gave instead of the 1250 for Toyo C\Ts I just ordered
