Hey --- good on 'ya! Everyone should be who they want to really be. I had a little facelift a couple of years ago ("vagina neck" correction - LOL) and people think it was all vanity --- but it made me feel better about myself - so that's who I want to be. On one note, however --- Brie is absolutely CORRECT!!! I know it sounds like a "duh" moment --- but using your "core" is something you do ALL The time!!! I've had a C-section, a hysterectomy and a gall bladder surgery (all in the space of a couple of years) and the abdominal recovery was the WORST!!!! What I did for itching was take a Benedryl or two at bedtime so I could get to sleep ... you can also take one during the day, but it might make you sleepy --- ok, nap opportunity --- glass half full. I'm so glad you are both "recovering" nicely from the surgery (hey, partners have to do a little more of what they usually do and some things they don't usually do when their loved ones are out of commission) and best of luck with everything in the future.

Brie: once you go back to the office, especially since you are voice training now, make sure to stay hydrated! Because you're used to having water 24/7 so it'll be a big adjustment for your body to just drink during meal times. Get a big bottle and keep emptying it :)

Hearing that Brie got to enjoy some Baulders Gate during her recovery was wonderful to hear. During my last major surgery, I dug deep into Fire Emblem Three Houses and it was amazing to have something that was distracting, but still used my head. It's always frustrating to not be able to do the things you used to do and having something to play like Baulders Gate was probably great to give that sense of accomplishment while her body was healing up!

Oh man the part about not realizing how much you use your abdomen until you have a surgery or injury in that area is very relatable. I found that out the less than fun way too after my surgeries in 2017. I had to have a bunch of intestinal surgeries. I used to get up in bed by turning to my side and pushing up sideways with my arm rather than primarily using my abdominal muscles. Happy to see you’re feeling good and recovering well! Best of luck as you continue your recovery and your journey!

Sneeze, cough, stand up, sit down, lean to the side. It sucks. I have an additional question, but I don’t really know who the best person to answer it is haha. Does vocal training ever get easier?
