I love Briggs flat heads, and the opposed twin is such a cool engine. I just picked up a '93 GT6000 with one.

One of the best tractors I ever had, at the time I dint realize what I had if so would've held on to that one. It also had the wide fat rear tires.

I have a 2021 Craftsman T240 with the the KT725 22 horsepower V Twin Kohler Engine 12 gauge steel deck Cast iron front Axle 3 gallon fuel tank Cruise control hydrostatic transmission 3 year unlimited hours Warranty weight 600 pounds frame and hood all steel paid $2,540 depending where you buy you could pay more or less either way worth every penny and will last for decades

Sears/Craftsman are some of the most Collectible Lawn and Garden tractors I would Take a Vintage Sears/Craftsman tractors over John Deere all day long

Can’t wait to get my first apposed twin! I’ve got one coming next week on an late 80s tractor and just love how they sound.

That's the same motor I have on my rider, never had an issue in 8 years mowing 2 acres

i have a 16 hp opposed twin sill use this mower.just ordered carb kit on ebay for for 6.99.

Went to a yard sale yesterday, Man had three riders, one snapper b/s 18 horsepower for 200.00 & husky b/s 24, 42 in, rotten deck 150.00, the other one was off brand can't remember b/s single cylinder . Would these mover be worth the time to fix and repair to sell.

Can anyone advise on a possible compression issue with this engine?

Could be in exhaust valve issue clearances run pretty tight on these engines and they hold the valves open so you might be losing compression on the exhaust valve I recommend.010-.012 clearance
