Your 💯 about anything Briggs being stupid high. I wouldn't be worried about to much compression to start by hand. Long as you can clear your piston to head you will be good. Hope you get it going 👍

I've got a methanol raptor and a spare running motor. I'm just trying to get rid of the stock briggs carb, i was lucky and needed a new tank and had the spare motor. I just started a 212 build to replace the meth briggs and fuck around with some ohv's.

stack 2-3 headgaskets ontop of eeachother, you'll save urself a massive amount of time, i had to do that to my hemi 212 for valve clearance. it works, just put some of that gasket maker shit betweeen both of em to make sure theres no leak, and you might need to ttorque the head down with 1 foot lbs more, just add some oil onto thee screw and you'll have no issue long term.

Are we sure it's the head that was cut uneven and not the cylinder deck? I guess in the end it doesn't matter because the fixes are the same. Cobble together a few gaskets to make a Frankengasket or buy a new head....which you've done. But again, pray it's the head that's cut crooked and not the cylinder deck.

Send a piston down, getting shorter rod, and a smaller gasket and away we go off to never never land

Well,I’m using a 3.870” rod to lower my compression so that I could cut my eye brows completely off like the 10hp b&s flathead is made. You can also have a thicker copper head gasket made to fix this problem the machinist has created and it will still be hi compression. I’ll stick to my kool bore, when it smokes I just file fit oversized rings. This really sucks bro,bad !!!

This is exactly why I invested the money in the tools to do clone heads myself I got sick and tired of people beings unwilling to sell bare heads with bigger seats or willing to do them how I wanted now the only operation I can't do in house is resleeve and bore blocks and that's coming next. I feel like I had no choice as I got sick and tired of being ripped off and having to have work redone all the time and paying money for junk work that was supposed to be done by a big name "professional" like you said if you can do it yourself get over the fear of doing it and just do it your damn self!
