Some of our multiplugs have a button (like a circuit breaker) that you push to reset the thing, be sure to look for that and know that it maybe hard to push. (It's different from the on/off button.) If not you can cut that off and buy a replacement plug... either single or multi, but cost is usually my determining factor. Once you get a multiplug working... Get a plastic storage box with a lid (probably the kind you store shoes in). Cut small holes (just big enough for the plugs to fit through) in either end of the box. Put the holes closer to the top, so water won't flow in if there's a little flood. Then once everything is plugged in put the top on and tape shut. This will keep splashes off the plugs, but won't survive a major flood. If your container is big enough you might be able to put the cords through the lid, but you don't want to kink the cords inside. At Christmas time I use old food containers to protect single plug Christmas lights from the elements. 💖🌞🌵😷

How did your extension cord break? You can get replacement ends. If it was accidentally cut get two ends to plug into each other. It's very easy. The inside screws are color coded. Ask your hardware store person or watch a KZfaq. I'd go on about it, but you have different plugs than us. If you have to buy a cord, always get bigger than you need, especially if it's a long cord as distance reduces the strength of the cord. 💖🌞🌵😷

It's a multi-plug one and I think it got water damage inside the connector sockets as none of then work. :/

Oh no silly sheep. Lovely to see the sun shining. The geese are doing a good job protecting the next. Bit scary 😂

It looks as tho its all coming together at last for you. I saw that Liz Zorab put high wire shelves in her poly tunnel suspended from the metal ribs so nothing can get at her seedlings. It might help you for the future or if you get time this year 😊

I did look at that but I think Liz must have a slightly different frame to me as I don't have enough cross bars on the ribs to hang it from. I would love to have one of those floating shelves though!

@@BrimwoodFarm👍. I don't have much luck with woody cuttings... either growth hormone/soil or water propagation. I like to take the new green growth and start them in water. I cut a dozen and put them in a vase on my kitchen table. It's always sunny and warm in there. Change the water every few days. Rub off any slime that may form and no leaves under the water. I usually leave only 3 or 4 leaves on each stem. In about a week you'll see roots. When you cut them (less than 12" or 30 cm) and put them in water, if the leaves droop... Try cutting the stems under water as some plant stems seal immediately. If the leaves don't perk up within 30 minutes, snip off half of each leaf. This still allows for photosynthesis but cuts down on moisture loss. If your leaves are still drooping, the stems are too long... Try 6 inches or 15 cm, you can do less, African Violets can water propagate with a 5 mm stem. But with shrubs, I've been doing 6-10 inches, 2 or 3 leaves trimmed on green wood with pretty good results. 100-90%. Some KZfaqr say 50% is good, but having them on the kitchen table is so pretty and I can keep an eye on them. 💖🌞🌵😷

Hi Geoff. Your sheep are like Houdini 😁 Great to see the lamb and her adoptive mother Juno. That lamb has really come on but does wander off.. Bad luck regarding the ewe you lost. Her lamb look well on a mixture of the bottle and what he can get from others. Six more to go. You've been getting on with chores. The goose nest dilemma. Could you borrow an incubator? We certainly couldn't leave geese (or any other bird) outside here. Pricking out spinach, things ate moving. Juno is very keen on her adopted lamb. Hope the broad means come on. Good luck with the turkey eggs. Jacob and Johnny.

Sounds like you need a second incubator for goose eggs. Or... Couldn't you put the nest and the geese in a pen in the barn? They say if you make the move in the middle night with chicken, it works out with chicken as the night confuses them... Might work with geese? 💖🌞🌵😷

I've tried it with ducks and sadly didn't work and I think geese get so territorial over their spot, probably wouldn't work either. I probably just need another incubator 🤣

How far away from your bedroom is the goose nest? I mean, would you hear them in the night if the geese started carrying on? If you think you would, maybe give it a go. If not, I probably wouldn't risk it.

I think a bobcat killed a bunch of my ducks and geese. I keep everyone locked up in my chicken yard now. I move my livestock guardian dog over there at night. Sold the 3 surviving ducks, no drakes, to someone. Geese hatched out 3 goslings undernthe chicken's coop so couldn't clean it out.

Good idea with dog. You definitely have it worse than us - in UK we really only have to deal with foxes. Even the birds of prey aren't really too much of a concern.

I was thinking that, but it's so brambly it would be hard to get anything in there and I think cutting it back too much would make her abandon the nest. 🤔

Putting magnesium blocks out for the ewes will help it’s the grass not being enough for the weeks and the lambs taking so much off the ewes . Hope you don’t get another 😊

Could you put hardware cloth around the geese with the eggs?
@BrimwoodFarm

I'm not sure it would be that easy. I'd have to cut so much vegetation away, she'd probably leave the nest due to the disturbance.

@@BrimwoodFarm , do you have an extra electric fence? It would make the goose yard large and yet keep the fox out. 💖🌞🌵😷
