Создатель миров сжалился над людьми и подарил им *Мercedes.* Всем владельцам MERCEDES здравия и благополучия ! Были W201, W140, четыре года на W124, 1985г.(2.0, 4 - ст.ручка, pierburg, самоблок). Я заглянул в Вечность. Сейчас вновь на синем W140 S320.. .

I believe it was original from the factory like that.

The majority of black 140‘s had the colour code 199 which was called ‚blauschwarzmetallic‘ in German (blue-black, which never looked really blue, but sort-of ‚light black‘), the only other black was 040 (‚obsidian black‘ if I am not wrong. Not sure, if there ever was a colour named ‚onyx black‘ - possibly in the Disegno options for the last 140‘s maybe?), which was at least in Europe extremely rare, if it was sold anyway in Europe… This one is either in this 040/obsidian black, or it is a special, propably not original Mercedes colour (they never had a ‚piano black‘, e.g., if I am not wrong… maybe, possibly, Disegno had..)
