In games this can take two forms: either a fourth wall break where the female character knowingly flirts with the player or where the player is immersed in the player character's PoV. It's not bad to enjoy Triss topless in The Witcher, she knows Geralt is watching and you are Geralt. If the TV show shot the scene in the same way it's shown in the game though, THAT would be a problem. Ask yourself, who is the camera? 4) You are Bayonetta when you play. That changes the context. She's not showing off for an unseen viewer (even if the game is third person), YOU are sexually humiliating your enemies as you kill them. Her promiscuous behavior reinforces the power fantasy. Typically this is a behavior we associate with male heroes, or with female villains. Indeed, Bayonetta falls into an archetype which is typically portrayed as villainous ESPECIALLY when the character is female. But in this game she's the protagonist (though it's a stretch to call her a "hero"), so that's nice. As you pointed out, Bayonetta is not portrayed much differently from Dante. That's most of the reason she's so cool. She's an example of a very sexualized character, but not an example of sexualization done poorly.

It's not wrong to write that into your movie, and it can be really fun to watch, but... it hasn't always been fun FOR EVERYONE because of how we've historically gone about it.
