The Roberts Commission proved to the American people that FDR knew about Pearl Harbor prior to the attack. He lied to the American people about keeping America out of WWII yet he made every provision to get us into the war. He was a stooge for the Bankers just like Churchill was.

Had he lived the cold war would have never happened. He was the only man who could unite the Allied Powers and perhaps even after the war a friendship between the US-UK and the Soviet Union. As an American I am forever grateful for the sacrifices of the United Kingdom and Soviet Union. May he rest in peace and with his death so goes the greatest American president.

Extremely doubtful. Weeks before his death he was coming to the realization Stalin could not be trusted. Churchill knew it was inevitable that a Cold War was brewing with Soviet domination of Eastern Europe.

@@throwfascistsintopits3062 It was in a book I had read at my local library I can go see if I can find it again. The main thing I remember is that Stalin had ordered that public places fly morning flags a red banner with a black border , even the news papers that talk about FDR death where outlined in black borders. I remember it saying that he said something along the lines of , FDR's death was like loosing a good friend. Basically the US embassador to the USSR had said that he believes relations between the two nations will go down hill with the likely next president. I'll try and find book in the next few weeks for ya , as long as the library is not crowded with people.

I would imagine in April of 1945, FDR was basically the savior of the UK. Without US shipping weapons out to Britain the war would’ve probably been a lot bloodier in Western Europe. So I would imagine that they honored him a few weeks after he passed.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt, also known as FDR ( /ˈroʊzəvəlt/, /ʔvɛlt/; Hyde Park, January 30, 1882 - Warm Springs, April 12, 1945) was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 32nd president of the United States from 1933 until his death in 1945. Rest in PEACE.
