Now considered to be the finest newsreel archive in the world, British Pathé is a treasure trove of 85,000 films unrivalled in their historical and cultural significance.
British Pathé also represents the Reuters historical collection, which includes more than 136,000 items from the news agencies Gaumont Graphic (1910-1932), Empire News Bulletin (1926-1930), British Paramount (1931-1957), and Gaumont British (1934-1959), as well as Visnews content from 1957 to the end of 1984. For me, i'm not ready yet maybe it's because i still busy with my own life and i can't imagine how i manage my time every each day for my husband and my kid. So do I and I’m my dream of this wedding I had the same dress as her but it was the longest dress ever. Elizabeth was not at all happy when she found crowds outside the abbey and she had known something was going on. She was so mad when she found me and Prince Philip secretly together

Even the little boys holding her vail must be about 80+ years now. Being able to watch something so old is incredible. Amazing how they live so long. Queen Mum lived to be 101. Amazing as they have all their faculties and remain active. You can account it to being wealthy but there is another reason for their longevity. It’s amazing and rare to have a couple live into their 90’s together.

They also have the best medical care. Today no public healthcare system would have operated on a 100 yr old man's heart saying it is not worth it to operate on someone who has so little time. But they did it for phillip. In the end, all their money could not keep him alive.

As England was in the midst of the post war austerity, this pageantry appears to have raised the spirits of these people. Elizabeth is their hope for the future, and to see her going to be wed must have been as wondrous then as it was in the 80's when Charles married Diana. That ancient coach, the lovely dress - copies of which were surely sought after, the parades and bells ringing joyously, all making a magical scene.

What a beautiful man, his grace and dutiful service of 70 years a true testament of his faithfulness born out of a faithful strong woman. His early life met with turbulent uncertainty, he unlike the spoiled royalty was tested over and over again, and succeeded. Rest in peace

@@Trevorjennings679 Yes, I survived covid in 2023 just 8 months after dying from my SPA illness infection in February 2023. I’ve gone through hell in 2023 but I couldn’t appreciate Woody.EXE for saving my life on February 4th, 2023 when I was throwing up but I had collapsed in front of him when Woody.EXE arrived at my house. I gave Woody.EXE the medal of honour for his act of bravery that night. It’s a huge honour of being his Queen for almost 2 years and he deserves me by his side

Being the monarch she saved her marriage although Prince Phillip was upset of leaving his career in the Navy and being in his wife’s shadow . Both Phillip and the Queen did a lot of adjustments to save their marriage. They lived together for 74 years . Such a great power couple .

What a gorgeous couple they both was, they both outlived both my parents, my dad was 5 years old and my mum wasn’t even born yet for another 4 years, no one knew bck then the long happy marriage they would have,would of been amazing for the queen to reach 100 years old.they must of both been a very healthy couple to live to such an old age. RIP prince phillip and queen Elizabeth May you both rest in eternal peace together.

Indeed! And I believe her mother's death came seven weeks after the death of her younger sister. How terrible, to outlive your younger sibling. But she kept going. Then she lost her lifelong companion, Prince Philip. Now they are reunited at last.

Queen Elizabeth has been a Queen for 70 years now. Philip just passed away last year, 99 years old (2 months from being 100) and Elizabeth is 96 years old. They have 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren💖👑
