Brittany, thank you for telling your story. They tried to shame and humiliate you. They robbed you of your freedom. You had the Faith and Strength to survive it. The shame and humiliation is on them. As I was watching your interview I was touched by the vulnerability you showed. Embrace that together with your strength. I was wondering if you and your wife planned to have children. And then at the end of the interview you shared you are expecting. A child is the joy you deserve. I know as a mother, and grandmother their is no greater joy. May God continue to Bless you and give you strength.

I would say that there is equal pay considering how little the WNBA is worth! That girl graduating this year will be the closest thing that WNBA has to a chance at making money! Her whole, “pay equity” thing is ludicrous. The WNBA is only worth $60 million, and wouldn’t exist had the NBA not bailed them out. The NBA is worth $10 billion. This is why there’s such a huge disparity in pay. If the WNBA starts bringing in the same amount of money as the NBA, I’m fairly certain, the players will get the same kinds of contracts NBA players get.
@onark777
@onark777 15 күн бұрын
The WNBA is worth 200 million She, like most WNBA players, are asking for pay "equity". Not pay equality. This means they want a similar cut of the WNBA revenue that NBA players get from NBA revenue. NBA players get 50% of revenue while WNBA players get 10% of revenue.

What she proved with her stint in russia is that she is a survivor. But on the real side, none of these women should ever have to work overseas to make more money as american athletes. The NBA and WNA need to reaaaly partner to give funds to womens basketball instead of an "in season tournament" for already over paid jocks. Either way, Brit Brit is moving on and sharing her story. He has other issues. And holds at least Three citizenships. People keep leaving that part of his story out. I am thinking that there is more to his case than we know. (Still, RUSSIA is probably holding him for Spite. jmo)

Don't really care, I can't believe they chose to trade her rather than a former marine, a basketball player, really, not worth the trade should have left her over in Russia and traded Paul Wheeler or a different prisoner, all because she can play basketball.

It wasn't about basketball. It was about her being unfairly imprisoned for something that is legal in this country. Something that according to her, was an honest mistake. Not saying the other person isn't important but she didn't deserve to be in jail for a vape pen.

Saying that you are a wnba all star is like saying you are the mvp of your ymca league. Ok, and? It has no meaning whatsoever. If a tree falls in a forest, does it make a sound? Yes but there is nobody there to witness it. Kind of like a wnba game, nobody is there. If you could draw a crowd, maybe you would be paid by your league. Not by the NBA.

It’s a mistake almost anyone could have made. I know need to follow the laws of countries are visiting. I have traveled as solo female a great deal and always try to at least look up info regarding my destination, but I’m sure I didn’t always and/or may have just glanced. And still a chance could have broken a law without doing so intentionally. I was in Singapore for a connection and was nervous as even chewing gum in public was unlawful and the punishments there were severe. What BG describes sounds hellacious. Yes it’s Russian law and in their country but 9 years for small amount of THC oil to be done in such a severe prison is terrifying. I don’t follow basketball, but watching an interview with Brittney gave me the impression she is an extremely decent human who made a mistake and she has handled this with amazing grace. There were those criticizing the trade, and they are entitled to their opinion. What is NEVER necessary is nasty humans using it to spew their vile words and hate. What people should be most upset about is that so many individuals think such nasty things and enjoy spreading it. It is tragic Paul Whalen was also not released and that an arms dealer was who was exchanged. Yes scale is off. A young woman who had two cartridges in suitcase is not even close to an arms dealer. The crimes were not compatible. That is not the trade decent ethical government would make but of course those without decency will always do such things. If upset about the trade that would be the reason to possible be. Not a personal attack. Once again those of no character, who just bath in the excrement of hatred, use anything to voice their filth. Those type disgust me but also I pity in a way. How empty, how devoid of any decency or light inside are they that this is what they enjoy doing. Don’t need any conviction or really care about the actual situation, but thrive on using any situation that has at least one variable they are hateful about to say the worst they can think of. Not enough to say don’t agree; that is why it’s not legitimate. Obvious the only agenda is to be nasty and try to rile up others as deplorable as themselves. I’m glad BG managed to survive her ordeal and maintain her integrity. Her light shines and all the haters have black souls.
