Travelling to certain countries CHECK and CHECK again your luggage to make sure that nothing suspect is amongst your belongings. Whatever the government/Putin wants is what will happen. That's what authoritarian governments are like. Heard her interviewed by Terry Gross yesterday. Changed my perception of the situation. Maybe if with WNBA athletes were paid on par with the NBA, these women wouldn't travel to Russia to play. My guess is that many now won't. After hearing the TG interview, I'm glad that Brittney was returned safely, and sorry for what she suffered and what she suffered while in school.

I stopped watching shortly after she said she accidently put it in her bag and didn't know it was there. Everytime you put cannabis in your bag when flying your are "highly" aware of it, especially if it's Russia. You were stupid and lost all credibility with me with that lie. Loved this intreview. It's helpful to hear her story & how she developed great coping skills that helped her come out intact. I do have to disagree with Joy telling Brittney she was not at fault. I don't think that's helpful because i believe it was her fault. Brittney knows the circumstances of how the substance got in her suitcase & I'm sure Brittney has been dealing with the guilt of that. Accepting this leads to her ability to forgive herself ...we all make mistakes. I'm so so happy she is home with her loved ones.
