@Yuki , because usually the t.s.a does not look for that , They care for safety look to see if anyone is bringing something to hurt others , Unlike Russia were they will punish you severely for anything , I’m sorry but Ms Brittany was a fool for pulling that B.S in a foreign country like that , She should be on her knees praying , Giving thank you to Jesus .

Ive wondered this about the issue with the man in Turks n caicos who is facing hard time over a bullet being found in his luggage at Turks airport when leaving to return home to America. I’m wondering why tsa if they see someone is traveling to somewhere that something is illegal if it’s in their bag shouldn’t they say something? I know it’s not their responsibility but idk just crossed my mind

In her defense, I vacationed in either Virginia or Maryland, but went to a range to learn to shoot for the first time!!! When I was finished, I asked to keep the empty cartridge/bullet!!! Approaching the airport for my return, I happened to mention, with excitement, 'gosh what a souvenir'!!! Thankfully and with God's grace, my friend highlighted that it was illegal to travel with!!! Never crossed my mind with the innocence of it all!!! Looking back now, it was one of the dumbest miscalculations I could have ever made!!! Up until Brittney's arrest, did I truly understand the ramifications of such a miscalculation!!! Sometimes we are used as vessels to educate others!!! Thank you for your service Brittney!!! As an athlete, one who (if im not mistaken) had already traveled to Russia several times, may not have had the foresight to understand the complexity and the standing situation between the US and Foreign relations especially that of Russia. Not considering such things as Vapes to be a red flag. But people fail to heed the warnings that we see time and time again with people traveling abroad and the situations they find themselves in. Often being a life or death situation. But people shrug their shoulders, figure its always someone else and not them. or the proverbial its overblown media. And next minute they find themselves in the heat of it, because their arrogance and ignorance has gotten in the way of caution. We see far to many KZfaqrs traveling abroad and deliberatly challenging the warnings brought forth. and yes.. indeed many times "bad places" and "bad peoples'" only reflect the perspective of a few who whether by way of racist classist or financial bias would deem a people dangerous. but its can be said that the labeling in itself is enough to drive people to act upon false accusation. in other words.. im not a criminal but if you belittle me, scorn me and unjustly criminalize my character, then im given every right to defend myself my kind and character by those who only seek to uplift themselves by placing down others they deem lesser than. you want to call me fire, then maybe just maybe i should burn you for your ignorance.

While I feel bad for anyone who gets incarcerated anywhere in the world, it was her addiction that landed her in prison. Whether to pack my drugs or not depending upon the trip destination is not even a question for me. Brittney really doesn't know true Russian prison life for she was held in pretrial detention center for most of her incarcerated time. I hope that she has learned from this and given up drugs, and that she has a newfound respect for being an American. She should now stand proudly for the National Anthem.

@@tru2thastyle i’m well educated he was actually a russian terrorist that served 14 of his 25 year sentence. Yes we still have a marine over in russian in prison but she didn’t choose to be swapped over him. once again i’m glad she’s home and hope you do your research before telling someone else to.

This is the most ridiculous interview I have ever seen. She traveled to Russia with cannabis knowingly and the government prioritized getting a criminal out of custody. And if she didn't know that the cannabis was there, then why did she answer why she needed it

If you actually watched the video, she was carrying one half empty cartridge and another mostly empty cartridge. This totaled .7 grams. So using common sense, it's pretty apparent that she didn't mean to bring them. If she knowingly brought them for personal use, you don't think she would at least fill them first?

Why are you all so vile in your comments. The girl said she made a mistake cut her some slacks. She is human who cares about her sexuality- Russia you did this girl dirty. Brittany I pray you will overcome someday. Even if she put the cartridges in her luggage intentionally; don’t you all hear the conditions she had to endure. Give Brittany grace, please.
