As you can see this did take me a minute to figure out😂, but once I did, it’s pretty easy. Ingredients will be linked in my LTK shop liketk.it/4H6ds -Whole flaxseeds -water - Curls blueberry bliss leave in (I used this with the gel for my wash and go) Directions: 1. Add 3/4 a cup of whole flaxseeds and 4 cups of water to a pot. 2. Bring to a boil and then let boil for five minutes 3. Then stream mixture with a stocking. I’ve also been told that a French press works really well to strain the mixture. 4. Make sure not over boil the mixture which is what I was struggling with. I was waiting until it became thick in the pot before straining. You want it to be very liquidy when you strain it. Trust me, it will thicken up once it cools. Also, I gave this gel an 8 out of 10 because while it is pretty affordable and easy to make, it flakes a lot so you have to be careful about what products you mix with it.

You don’t need to boil your flaxseed to the point where it’s super thick!! You’ll waste so much gel and seeds, boil it until it’s still tacky and stretchy on your fingers but still a bit runny, then put it through a strainer not a stocking because it’s such a tedious process to do every time, when you put it through a strainer while it’s still hot and runny you will get as much gel as possible then when it cools down it will be very thick and gel like. It hurts seeing people waste so much 😅

What I love about my natural hair when I see these types of videos is that the longer and longer and longer the hair gets the more eventually it'll actually lay down. Mine gets super defined when I put virgin olive oil in it and it grows fast. Doesn't leave flakes because of the olive oil combined with whatever gel I use. Olive oil is definitely a must for definition with combining products because it slicks down the stray hairs and helps hair grow ALOT. There are steps to getting really long natural hair. Shampooing once a month(to not strip your hair of moisture), washing with conditioner(I use Paul Mitchell tea tree conditioner and leave-in which does better than cheap brands because i will not lose alot of hair)twice a week or once a week, using a T-shirt or hair safe material to not damage your hair, moisturize with olive oil and leave-in conditioner in the the week then Eco Styler gel nearing to wash day. Each time I cut it, it grew back real fast, not frizzy, and long.

I used flaxseed for the first time. Here are some tips: -Don't boil it for too long(gets thicker when cold -Just use a strainer when it's hot(stil has tiny tiny bits in it, but nothing too bad -Don't use too much( very little goes a long way - I heard you can reuse the seeds(I'll give an update after i have reused mine
@nour4959
@nour4959 Ай бұрын
I tried to reuse mine and boil it in water to make more gel but that didn't work unfortunately. BUT i reuse the seeds after straining it as a mask on my skin and it is SOOOOO HYDRATING and give a beautiful 🌟GLOW🌟 and also has many benefits for skin health so you could also use the gel it self as a facemask. But a tip from me is dont make a big batch because it goes bad quickly as it is all natural and doesn't have preserving chemicals to prevent it from going bad. So make as much as you would use for a 4-6 days.❤
@trinimama9539
@trinimama9539 Ай бұрын
I make it all the time to retwist my locs. For what ever amount of measurement you use for seeds put 3 times that measurement in water. And when it boils that the water is slowly turning into a drip on the spoon, IMMEDIATELY STRAIN IT with a normal tiny hole strainer. Then freeze the seeds. If you don't overboil it you can reuse the seeds.

@monie2193
@monie2193 Ай бұрын
Sometimes your hair has to be trained. I know it sounds weird but sometimes the hair needs some manipulation to make your curl pattern pop. That's why most people try out different methods like using a brush, finger curling, shingles method, etc. You have to experiment with the different methods and see what works for your hair. Also the type of products have to be found for your curl pattern. Some people need heavier butters or lighter mousses to get their curls to pop. It's a lot of experimenting but just make sure you pay attention to how each product affects your hair and you can usually narrow it down to what type of products work best. Even if you have 4C hair like some creators, your hair density, moisture level and porosity may differ giving you different results with the same products.

How does it look when it is dried with the flax seed gell? How long does it lasts. .How does it look after 2-5 days? Any buildup? Please do a follow up...would love to try..

When it is hot, use a metal strainer, and it will be much easier. NEVER strain when it's cool, nor use a stocking.

To get the same effect without the crunch...use fresh okra. Boil in water and strain. it gets up as it cools. The key component to both is the mucilage that occurs naturally.

It’s easier when you pour the flax jell after into a nut milk bag right after boiling. Hope this helps 😊

Things on shelves have more ingredients in order to stay good right? If not, let us know pls! The highlight to this, like food from scratch, is to eliminate the guess work out of what those other chemical ingredients will do to you in the long run.
