Never riding a quad bike again! | Overnight camping mission in the rainforest.

This weekend, a few mates and I went for an overnight camping mission in the rainforest with only a small amount of gear on quad bikes and buggies.
The track got harder and harder. That, combined with my lack of skill in riding a quad, made for an interesting adventure!
Super keen to do more of this stuff, just need to buy a proper SXS or UTV first so i can do it with less rollovers. lol!

Same. Been about 3 years since I’ve been up there. Need to do missions like that more often 👍🏼

Me and my uncle cleared that camp ground 30 years ago you boys used. We would take every second weekend off and go camping up there with my mate from school. Used take lawn mowers to keep the grass down and even got a mini skid steer up there one time and flattened the camp ground into the levels you could use to pitch your tents. And those were bush rats crawling over you 😂 there are dongers further up the track where it ends from back in the day. Good effort. 👍🏻

Awesome. It still looks like a pretty well kept area 👍🏼I’m keen to push right through to as far as the track goes once I get a better buggy

@@Kenny_B yeah I will be up again at Christmas time, and will be bringing my sxs up so should see if we can get to the old dongers up there. Also there is a secret waterfall hole up there about 3 klm from that camp site. Cold! but fantastic spot for a swim and pictures.

The Hilux and the D-max your referring to at 27:24 was me and my old man. We camped around 24 kilometres up the track and got absolutely pissed on that night, thank goodness for the rooftop tent. Took us 12 hours to get out on the Sunday due to how slippery the track had become from the rain.😂

@@Kenny_B nah we'd just been heading up regularly to clear the track for everyone and to try and get to the caravan, but only got 4 kilometres from it. Next time hopefully will be the one.

@@Kenny_B Sure have, that creek where you guys camped in that video we camped just after the next creek from that behind the big fallen log the night this video was filmed. it inspired me to buy a buggy for trips up there, so I don't end up doing too much panel damage to my precious Hilux like I did that weekend 😥

Yea. Don't feel too bad. I'm the same way on a quad. But around here. A single cab 4WD gets me anywhere I want to go.

It is tough riding quad bikes in steep, uneven, rutted country, very hard not to roll. Please get some roll over protection.

@@Kenny_B I've got to the 3rd creek on my quad but never put it on its side but it's a longwheel base I think you may have been to top heavy
