I totally disagree. She's not a queen. Far from it. She chose that lifestyle. Now she's a full blown addict who left her kids behind. I do believe she went through things in her life and chose this to numb her pain. And it's hard to get out, hope she seeks help and wants it 100% but she's not a queen period She's a beautiful black women with a lost soul on the wrong path

Me too it didn’t hit me till the age 32 my husband wanted to get separated I had two kids I didn’t know how to do it myself I was sad alone and I never escaped before somebody offered me pill that’s all it took that one Percocet was all took the rabbit hole begin I can’t never stay sober longer than two months the pain is so intense it doesn’t seem to ever go away it’s such a physical addiction it just hold onto you and it doesn’t let go!!

Same here. I took pills in my 20s but it wasn't something I needed until I got in my late 20s. I was engaged with 2 kids and my fiance at the time had 6 kids and we were in love. But his ex wife put us through hell & would use his 6 kids as pawns and the women in his family treated me like shit. Just to deal with the stress of 8 kids, 6 of them stepkids who would fuck with me bc their mom pushed them to. I was all alone bc he worked all the time. I would take 5 Norco, a muscle relaxant, Xanax, & an adderall before I got out of bed in the morning. Long story short I eventually was introduced to heroin from a "friend" bc we couldn't couldn't find pills. I was spending around $100 a day in pills and $10 in heroin would last me all day and it made me feel 1000x better. I was 30. That went on for about a year and my fiance & parents found out. They were devastated. My fiance would sit by my side and nurse me thru the withdrawal but the minute he turned his head id be out the door looking for the drug. I ran into a friend of mines brother and he shot me up for the 1st time and I was off to the races after that. I took off for a year and my boys stayed with my parents because someone called cps and they were taken bc I failed a drug test. That devastated me so I got on methadone and fought cps to get my kids back. I did great for 2 yrs until I relapsed. I left my kids with my parents for another 2-3 yrs bc I didn't want them seeing me that way. I got back on methadone after that run bc I lost found my roommate and close friend dead with the needle still in his arm in the room next to mine. That was the 6th person close to me that died that year but finding him that way was traumatizing. So I moved back with my parents & kids and got pregnant. Today I'm still on methadone but I have my own apartment, I have my 16 yr old son and 2 yr old daughter with me & my 19 yr old son is applying for colleges for chemical engineering. Right before the pandemic I was signed up at the local community college to get my phlebotomy & ekg tech certificate but it was put on hold due to covid. I've been in a depression since bc I'm struggling with stayin clean. I had a lil slip but pulled myself I out off it bc I can't lose everything I worked so hard to get. I will not allow drugs to take everything from me again! I will not put my baby girl thru the shit my son's thru and I won't put my son's thru it again. Sorry for the book I just wrote here but this story hit home, the pain in her eyes and voice when she describes how are hurt her kids... I feel every drop of her pain. Keep your head up and know you CAN get out. I know it's hard and it feels like this is it in life but it's not

I thought the same. Too many times no one takes responsibility. As an adult we all have choices to make and too often people put the blame anywhere but on themselves.

NiMBY types in Philly don't leave many other places available tho. And plenty of people get and stay sober in Kensington, but yeah... it's very hard though, but it's not impossible but the reality is if you wanna find drugs, they are everywhere, regardless.
