Hello Dash, Thank you for contacting us here at the Brompton factory. Thank you for sharing video which we have watched by our quality team here in Brompton factory. We appreciate good intentions in it. However, we found it misleading as it advises 3rd party products that will do more harm than good. We don't see design flaw in T Line Brompton rather than intentional design which makes T Line lightest folding bike in market. T Line main frame hinge is designed for weight reduction and to reduce unnecessary contact points. Open gap in folding joint might attract more dirt than standard Brompton main frame. However, we normally recommend servicing bottom bracket every two years and replace it if necessary. Any accumulated dirt can be removed on regular maintenance routine. Hole or "bleed hole" that connects air to flow from main frame top tube to lower tube is a vital part to successfully weld part together. If tubes would be sealed they will explode under heath without ability for oxygen to escape. It's important not to don't block ends of the tubes as this depressurise air chambers and actually accumulate more moisture and trap it inside and therefore will do more harm than good. Hahaha never again!!! Even with mudguards, during downpour, water still can enter thru to the top tube.

@@dashamin I will change the clamps (holding the titanium stays and holders for the frame) on my mudguards to Carbon and Aluminum and a new hook for the frame. With a new carbon handle bar and the last titanium parts for my original brakes, I expect to reach at least 8 kilo, and still with my Toolset in the frame. To the side of here I can see a similar Flame painted bike, which have reached 7,8 kilo (JackbikeSG), but without mudguards it seems? Finn. Denmark 😁 I will look at what has ben done, besides new carbon wheels. Mine is a 6 speed.

It is very achievable. Change the fork, Triangle & stem to titanium and will be looking below 8kg! Cheers mate!

@@dashamin As a "Superlight" it has a Titanium fork and triangle from the Factory, and now also a black titanium Brompton shaped, seat post. The stays on my mudguards are titanium, but the - clamps holding them are from "Heavy Metal" - to be changed to a lighter set parts from China!

This is my personal request as I am kinda a weight weenie hehehe. Makericks3d will be coming up with 2nd version. The current storage sleeves are already my storage for my spare inner tubes (ridenow) and some tools.
