Watching your original declutter videos really inspired me to go through my own collection and get rid of the products I didn't like anymore or I didn't wear enough. After several makeup purges, I now have a relatively small and cute makeup collection that isn't the least bit overwhelming!!! I think one of the best parts of downsizing a makeup collection is having products that you LOVE not just like--it's oddly satisfying! I LOVE these videos, so glad you continue to make them!!!!

When I started watching videos on youtube I got sucked in to the world of collecting makeup. I wanted to keep up with the latest products and kept looking for the "next best thing." When I came across your old declutter videos it changed the way I think about collecting makeup. I have gone through my collection multiple times and have paired it down to what I feel I can use. I have given things to family and friends as well as donated to my local women's shelter (something I didn't realize you could even do before watching your videos). These are my favorite ones to watch of yours because it is refreshing to see someone acknowledge that they have things they don't really need instead of hoarding it all. We all buy things that we don't need sometimes whether it be clothes, shoes, food or lipgloss, but the trick is to learn to realize when we are doing it. Thanks for helping me change my views about "collecting" makeup!

I just started myself on a "project pan" of sorts. I've basically banned myself from shopping for unnecessary products until January 1. I need to focus on using up the products I have in my collection! It's a slightly different take than your decluttering videos but it's the same basic idea. :)

Great video! I just reached 30 this year and I notice that I've been wanting to purge a lot too. I think as we mature as women, we care less about quantity and more about quality. Life becomes less about keeping up with others and more about learning what you like and re-adjusting. Thanks for bringing mature content to the YT Beauty community!!

I so agree with you...keep and buy only what you love (I know we all make mistakes at times with our purchases) but I am ruthless now at getting samples wherever possible first and really being discerning about the initial purchase. Love your vids xx

Hi Christine; as always I have enjoyed your thoughtful commentary on why you are keeping/ letting go of a product. I belong to a 'monthly makeup' subscription - nice way to try new products. I sort through right away if there is a product/colour I know I won't use. I am purging right along with you, so I guess I know what I'm doing this afternoon ;). I don't have a big collection; but you are right...only keep and use what you love!

Also... Way to go on getting down to four bronzers and three highlighters. That is such a great accomplishment, and I know you had a lot more last year and especially the year before. It is nice to only have a few favorites. The wayI get rid of things I don't use is I place them in a bag separate from my makeup I use.. If I miss it and want to go get it, I keep it. I f I don't miss it at all, I give it away. You inspire me SO MUCH!

I'm so proud of you Christine -- I hope to imitate you. I have absolutely tooooooooooo many bronzers -- that is for sure. And the truth is I have to confess I find myself looking constantly at new different ones in the stores -- but, you would be proud of me -- I haven't bought any --------- yet!

You're doing so well!!!!! And even though my make up stash is significantly smaller, you've really inspired me to just keep/use products I really enjoy/need. I now try not to make spur of the minute purchases as well, so I take the time to test and read up on an item before buying. Then, I can see what makes it different to ones I already have. Plus - this has helped my acne prone skin, to not keep so many products in rotation and to read up on the ingredients before buying. Thank you:)

You are my "decluttering queen". Hands down :D. I really admire you a lot for doing these declutter videos. It always reminds me not to buy things that is not needed, though I don't have huge make-up collection as I barely wear. I have few items only which is good. Whenever I watched beauty gurus videos with their hauls and make up stuffs, I also got excited and that "wanting" feeling is always present which is very alarming hahaha good thing I am 10km away from the shopping areas :). Then everytime you have this declutter video up or I watched your previous declutter videos then I calm down and back to my senses. You always inspire me to control when buying things, not just makeup but whenever I do shopping. SOrry if this is long. :)

I just became re-interested in makeup (used to wear back in the 80s and stopped). Every time I think of buying something I see on KZfaq I think of you and say "nah you haven't even used what you bought as yet" LOL!!

I just love your decluttering videos, I am decluttering in the same way all the time, I do struggle with re-stocking though once I have freed uo some space. One thing I would love to see is how you put them back into the perspex container. I am an organising junkie and I love the way you store things.

Hoola is the BOMB! I am very light-skinned with cool undertones and Hoola is the only bronzer I have ever been able to pull off successfully.

Looking forward to blushers. I'm always going through my make up. I pass to my daughter and mum stuff I don't use rather than it just sat going off.x

Everyone keeps saying "why not just depot the nars bronzers"? Guys, its NOT about that! Its about Christine keeping & using what products she LOVES the most! Yes its nice, but she LOVES the ones she keeping! She also does not throw stuff thats still good away. She gives it to family/friends and also donates gently used stuff to a shelter.

I went on a spree watching all your spring cleaning/decluttering type videos yesterday from years ago!! I don't know why but I love them...haha. Maybe it'll inspire me to do the same. And ahh! I have one bronzer that I got in a bare minerals set. I got it 2 years ago and only wore it a few times. It's way too dark, orange for me. Also too hard to get just a little. I can't stand loose powders either. Definitely in the market for something new, something very light. Any suggestions?
