Man I remember Bruce back then being so happy and surprised by the success of Die Hard. Nobody believed that he could become an actual movie star. It's really something to see how a lot of huge actors were so humble and relateable at the start of their careers, and just seemed so happy doing what they did.

Late Night was such a laidback and fun production back then. Letterman ridiculing television on television. Comedy club like intimacy and interplay with the audience, getting them to sing the Beverly Hillbillies theme. The camera peeping at the mimes backstage.

He was in his early 30's here. Around 33, probably. An impressive age to be in a cult classic that will launch his movie stardom. He looks so young and lively. Looking back now, it is hard to image he was 'just' doing TV at the time.

I saw Diehard in the theater when it came out. I remember thinking of it as "The Towering Inferno of the 80's" (which I also saw in the theater when it came out). 70's and 80's were great decades for movies. Hard to believe Frank Sinatra (at 70 years old) was considered for starring in Diehard originally.

I love him with or without hair as he looks great but it’s nice to see how he used to look like with hair. One of my favourite actors of all time! When I see him in a cast of a new movie I know it’ll be pretty good! Sad to see what he is going through these days but these things happen to many people at that age, just hope there will be a cure for that sometime soon!
