Happy New year to you all. Thank you so much for getting me over 100 subscribers😁 I’m not completely satisfied with this model overall, but I do like some parts of it. Hopefully this video served as what not to do when weathering a model at the final result. :D

I know I've said this about your other videos. You just throw these together and slop the paint on haphazardly and it's absolute perfection. Your technique is so simple and basic that it's beyond the comprehension of those who are the master of the exacting and precise.

Just finished watching this video. It happens that I also have this kit in my stash 😂.So I watch the video with great interest as usual. It gives me a drive to work on the same kit asap.

Don't worry you will be giving Mr Night Shift a run for his money soon enough. I really in enjoy your work in the smaller scales so much so I'm thinking of giving 1/48 a try as opposed to my usual 1/35. Keep up the good work. Still a great result.

Thanks man for the support👍 But my inspiration comes from those channels hoping to become better every time. But I’m glad you’ll be trying 1/48 as it is a great scale size.😁

Nice snap fit kit and a good result with this ISU-122. A good paintjob and also a good and muddy weathering. Looks like a vehicle during the Russian mud period. All the best and happy new year. Greetings, Joachim

The T26 didn't look like that when it was new or even a few years after it was built ; the very rough parts are exhibiting the corrosion caused by decades either outside, buried or submerged. Cast armour used on gun mantlets etc. was rough but the plates used to fabricate most of the hulls and turrets were relatively smooth . They certainly wouldn't have a particularly noticeable texture in small scales . Nice painting 🙂

Thank you for the support even when my model didn’t turn out as I wanted, fortunately it was a wargaming model kit.😁

I would strongly suggest to take cheap oil paints not for scale modeling but for painting and cheapest makeup brushes you can find (the smaller the better), you put little of paint on the makeup brush and genlty tap the surface of the model, then take the clean side of the brush and tap it again to blend the borders around the highlighted area, after spraying gloss varnish, and then 1 or 2 days later with matte or satin varnish it gives a airbrushed look. Also just for to be sure leave the oil paint to dry for 1 day at least that's what I do.

Unfortunately I’m only sticking to acrylics, as I like the fast drying time and non smell. But I appreciate the suggestion my friend.👍

You can get the exact same effect with acrylics..........

The dust effects does look over the top but you could just say it drove through a building

Does the water soap wash also work with Vallejo colors?

@@Modkits131 Whats the reasoning behind for using Tamiya Buff over Iraqi Sand then? btw I like the risks you take on others model to get lighter and vibrant colors !
@Modkits1312 жыл бұрын
I love using the Tamiya paint (Buff) for dust effects, because of its ultra matte finish it gives you. But not to say there aren’t any matte Vallejo paints. Example: German C. Black Brown, Black, Dark Rust and Iraqi Sand have always been matte for me. But they aren’t always matte unfortunately.

@@Modkits131 Thanks for the explanation! I will buy some tamiya and do some tests on older models to compare with VJ and powder!
