I know this video is from quite a long time ago at this point, but I wanted to say that after making this recently, the dish is very satisfying and full of so many interesting flavors! It was a wonderful change from some of the more mundane meals that we tend to default to through laziness. Thanks fr the recipe!

I made this yesterday for unexpected guests. With oystermushrooms and smoked tofu, because that’s what I had in my (Sunday) fridge. Used shiro miso and the whole dish was really far to yammmmy! Really soooooo delicious. Definitely a keeper! 🙏

What you call "steam fried" we always called "smothered" (smothered chicken, smothered cabbage, etc.). At any rate- I really enjoy your videos. I recently bought a couple of donabe's, and I could use the ideas. Thank you. 😊

Is it safe to pour liquid like that into an already hot donabe? Or is that type of donabe resistant to thermal shock?

Thank you for your beautiful channel, however, you shouldn't use extra virgin olive oil for cooking; it's not suitable for heating up. You'd better use coconut oil or ghee.

I bought an exact tagine from her company It looks beautiful. I dress it carefully before using it since it’s very expensive. However cleaning it is difficult. I always have some sticky burning pieces sticking at a bottom even I cook at low heat. I don’t want to use rough sponge since I am afraid to scratch it so soak wash soak wash for a few times. It’s a pain. Not 100% recommend it
