Bryan winds the microphone wire round his hand very tightly as the band rock out with some wild air guitaring.
The band - Donald Johnson (A Certain Ratio) on drums, Chester Kamen on Lead Guitar, Dean Garcia on Bass.

The blonde backup singer wearing purple is Mandy Smith - she is also in the official video for this song. So is Christine Keeler - but Christine is not in this performance, even though the text scroll during the beginning claims she is.

It’s Mandy not Christine. Mandy was a singer and the backup singer for the kiss and tell song. Christine wasn’t even a singer.

@@RomanticWeekend I have no idea, but you can see her on backing vocals with Deborah also in The right stuff (Wogan) and Diamond awards 1987.

@RomanticWeekend the third backing vocalist is Debby Carr as she personally confirmed to me. At the time she was dating Chester Kamen, Ferry's guitarist and Nick's brother. As for Deborah Leng she used to mime backing vocals for Nick Kamen (Sanremo 1987, February) and later in the same year (October) she did the same with Roger Taylor's band The Cross as she already started dating Roger. While Debbie Leng was famous as one of the Cadbury's Flake Girl, Debby Carr was the very first Boddington girl.

Tom Kowalczyk I would have definitely taped The Right Stuff if it had been performed on this show. I can't say for certain that it wasn't on, but it was unusual for an artist to be allowed to perform 2 songs on The Roxy. Love The Right Stuff.

Great sound quality considering this was made in 1988. Doubt sky arts will repeat roxy like they do with the tube never had quite same impact

That's ok, no worries. The Roxy was a cool show, think there were high hopes at the time it would be as big as TOTP but it wasn't to be.
