Thank you for sharing your story. As someone who cant get pregnant it’s hard to hear that you aren’t able to have a baby. It sucks. I cannot wait to see you have a beautiful baby girl and become such an amazing mamma! You’re gonna be amazing! Sending you lots of love and good vibes for future pregnancies!

My daughter had five miscarriages. They stopped trying for a while. Then a year later went To a of fertility clinic. They did genetic testing all other testing. She went on medication. Then they did ultra sounds to see how many eggs she had. The one time she only had one egg. That’s the one she got pregnant with. I went with her to the ultra sound and saw him as a tiny dot. Sure enough he was their miracle baby. It wasn’t an easy pregnancy for her. Lots of complications. He was two months early and only three pounds. But he was a fighter. Took him about eight weeks to get to five pounds before he could come home. But he’s a healthy little five year old now. Sometimes all it takes is one egg and a lot of faith to have that baby.

I’m glad that PCOS is starting to get the attention it needs as there’s still a lot of unknowns in the medical field. I was diagnosed a few years back, but I only recently learned a lot more about it when I found a new gyno. The only caveats I wish was said in the video is that PCOS is still very new in the medical field and that the symptoms and severity differ from woman to woman.

SOOOO happy for you!! Thank you so much for bringing awareness to this!!!! I'm an Endometriosis girl who had rupturing ovarian cysts the sizes of babies heads (and all that caused me to have to remove all my reproductive organs as they were too far damaged). While I did not specifically have PCOS, it always means the world to me to hear someone bringing awareness to womens' health struggles. Again, I am soooo happy for you, Brynley! You and Donny will be such marvelous parents! (P.S. For more info on birth control, I recommend reading "Beyond the Pill" by Dr. Jolene Brighten!)

Brynley, thank you for sharing your story. I thankful I am not the only one who has PCOS. I was diagnosed at the age of 15, and have been on my hormone birth control which has made a huge difference. Your story also lets me know that I can still have a baby when I get older even with PCOS. I always afraid that PCOS would not let me have kids but listening to your story really helps me look into my future. Even though I am the only one of my friends that have PCOS j am thankful I can share my journey with other people.

Thank you for sharing. I have pcos and endometriosis, so I struggle with infertility. I have had two surgeries in hopes of becoming pregnant but nothing. I can't wait see your baby girl 💗 you will be an amazing mother!

I have pcos as well and don’t ovulate. My amh was 13 which was off the charts. My progesterone was 0.4 which showed I wasn’t ovulating. And I have hypothyroidism so they put me on a med for that. I’m on my second round of femara and provera. I knew I had pcos because of my irregular cycles, hormone issues. My husband and I have been trying for one year already. We went to obgyn in October of 2021 and finally in February got to start the meds. I got pregnant in March but implanted super late and had a chemical at 5 weeks. Now I’m on my 2nd round and will hopefully get pregnant this month! I can find out in a couple days. It’s definitely a very hard journey when you don’t know if you’ll ever get pregnant. Everyone around me is pregnant but me. But I’m holding onto hope. 💛

I deal with some mental health stuff, so not the same topic. I know the "it could be this, or it could be that". But what I've always thought about diagnoses is that I don't care about what the diagnosis is as long as the treatment can be effective. It doesn't help the current situation and emotions but it does provide a path forward and you're a step closer to figuring it out. Sometimes the hardest step. Knowing what's wrong can provide solutions and bring some relief to the situation. Congrats on the pregnancy. She's your Christmas miracle. I know it's a journey forward but I like your attitude and how you deal with things.

Thank you for sharing this video!! I was actually diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 5. My older sister also has it. I started on metformin when I was 5 and my sister when she was 7. It has definitely been difficult. It has messed with both of our confidence. We have the extra testosterone which is not fun at all. 😔 we have also both had weight gain from it as well as extra hair growth on our face. I try to workout 4 times a week and that seems to help me. Also with PCOS we have an insulin resistance so we cannot process carbs and stuff like that. So I try to limit breads, and any processed foods that are harder for my body to digest. Thanks again for sharing your story. 🙂

I been to the dr and I don’t have PCOS I have had ultrasounds done and everything seems to be normal! My husband and I are going to wait until we complete a year to go check what’s going on if it’s me or him or maybe if the birth control is still wearing off.. we get so discouraged every time I get my period every month! I always have hope that “this will be our month” I just hope and pray I get to be a mommy soon but I do believe that it is in gods hands! And he knows our time

Hi! Thanks so much for sharing your story. You are not alone. I am 17 and I got diagnosed with PCOS last year at 16. I went to the dermatologist bc my hair was thinning and I didn’t like that and he sent me to the endocrinologist who diagnosed me. I didn’t have many symptoms besides the hair thinning and irregular periods. I would go five or six months without it but I didn’t think much of it because I was young. Now I’m on hormonal birth control to help and everything’s back on track.

It’s something I brought up to my now fiancé bc adoption or fostering might be my only answer and he was up for whatever. We get married next year and plan to throw my birth control out right away lol I’ll be 30 he will be 35 so we want to start as soon as we can bc we expect issues. So glad this is being talked about more, in the last 5 years is really when I’ve learned anything about it

Hi, I'm Catherine, I live in Scotland, UK. I'm 30 years old. A few months ago, I was diagnosed with PCOS. I think I had an idea that it may of been that just with my symptoms, & how I was feeling. I also started my period quite young too with them always being heavy & painful but I'd never really thought much of it then. Maybe thinking I was just someone that got them like that. Years past & I finally decided to speak to a Doctor about my ongoing symptoms & I got blood tests taken. Most of my results came back normal which was great, except the one that flags hormone levels for PCOS. So, what showed in my bloods & my symptoms must have been enough for a diagnosis. I feel lucky in a way on the period side, even though mines are as I said heavy & painful. They can still be regular which I've been told is a good sign considering others go with no periods or are really irregular. I've been told going forward it's more about managing the symptoms with like exercise & a healthy lifestyle & with that in time it could maybe improve my symptoms more. I understand along with there being no single test for this condition, there also isn't a cure. You just have to find a way to manage it the best you can. I have now been forwarded for an ultrasound that will possibly check if I have any cysts or anything. As I know you can from research & speaking to a Doctor. You can have these symptoms with PCOS but not always have the cysts. Even though there's probably a journey to go for me yet, I'm glad I know more than I did & that there is something going on. I can try hard to push on to feeling better & stronger within myself. I completely admire honest & open chats like these. We need more of this in the world! Thank you for sharing your story Brynley 🤗💜 It's much appreciated & so inspiring!!! Huge congratulations to you & Donny on your little girl 🌺 Wishing yous the very best x

Don’t worry about not being able to get pregnant. Find a OB/GYN that has a lot of knowledge on it (there’s still a lot of unknowns with PCOS, but they’re discovering a lot). I’m currently not trying, but my OB/GYN said that she has plans for patients who want to try and can usually helps a lot. Also, if anyone mentions that anyone with PCOS cannot get pregnant, please know that it’s a lie. It may be a bit more difficult, but it’s possible. I’ll pass this tip along in case you’re anything like me in that PCOS loves to help pack on the weight (which is also common), my doc said that she sees a lot of improvement when even just 10% of body weight is gone. So, that’s something to consider if wanting to try. Of course, talk to your doc!

Just here to say that yes infertility is defined as trying for 1 year without conceiving. But I too felt the same way. We got pregnant quickly with my daughter like just a handful of months. When she turned 18 months-2 years we started trying for baby #2 and tried for a solid year with no results. I ended up conceiving because I ovulated twice one month, when my daughter was around 3 years old. Now I’m currently pregnant with baby #3 and didn’t even know. I found out in the 2nd trimester because we weren’t trying and I had no symptoms. I will say I didn’t get diagnosed until I got pregnant with my son. (Baby 2) but I’ve had PCOS since I was a teenager.

Thanks so much for sharing. Our stories are very similar, I was also finally scheduled for an exploratory surgery and had given up all hope of conceiving when our baby girl randomly showed up. I agree! The longer I stayed on birth control, I noticed that I had more problems including fibroids and one getting particularly big. I have sworn off birth control pills and IUDs. I have been on both, and they both caused me problems. I think there are tons of side effects that I took too lightly and didn’t consider.

My husband and I tried pretty much right after we got married and after six months my doctor did surgery and I was diagnosed with endometriosis and still us two more years to get pregnant. We were at that point let’s just stop trying and about two months later I was pregnant with our first daughter. About a year after she was born I suffered a miscarriage and the doctor explained that I would have to have surgery again and go on fertility medication but I just told my husband if we have another baby that would be great but we were just so thankful we had our daughter. But with in five months we got pregnant again with our second daughter and we knew that was Gods gift to us because I never got pregnant again and within 10 years after our second baby I had to have a hysterectomy. Now I have two beautiful that are 22 and 20. I feel Gods timing is always the best.

was on accutane for 3 months. Cycle stopped for 6 months after I went off accutane. Dr put me on hormone, bled for 1 month, went on pill for 3 months. Went off pill, cycle stopped for 3 months. Went back on hormone, bled for 2 weeks, & went on pill for 3 yrs. Went off of pill & had no cycle for 3 yrs. Finally got cycle but it was wacky. Did hormonal panel (saliva test every day for 30 days) & that showed that I was switched (estrogen was going the wrong direction & progesterone was going wrong direction). Took supplements to get them going in the correct direction. Had 4 cycles that yr. Next yr I had 6. Next yr I had 8. Next yr I had 10-11 (which is where I was b4 taking accutane). Got a lot of pituitary headaches so was on a homeopathic remedy to help w/ those. Slipped into estrogen dominance in my 30s and was on supplements to help that. Then had testosterone imbalance for awhile. Took supplements to get that squared away. Things seemed to be okay for awhile but seemed to have some build up down there so started taking extra supplements during my cycle to clean stuff out. Took those for years and then my naturopath had me switch to another one. Hot flashes started getting wonky again so went back on progesterone cream. Now just do progesterone cream on days where I'm not cycling. 40 now and feeling pretty good. Glad that I never had motherhood on my agenda.

Thank u Sister for sharing. It was very informative. It made me bawl because I am one of those people that just couldn't have children. I would have loved a family. But, in my culture, my sister's children are mine. I don't want to share too much so I cried. Thank u.

Do you know if the supplements are safe for breastfeeding? I did metformin and birth control but haven’t taken the meds since I had my baby. Looking for natural ways to maintain my PCOS.

I feel so bad that you feel like ypu don't qualify as someone who suffered from infertility. No matter how long it took, and just because you have one on the way does not mean that you can't say ypu struggled with infertility. Everyone has their own journey and don't feel like you hard journey doesn't matter because someone else has an even harder time. Trying to grow your family is a very tolling and emotional thing and as a mom that also dealt with infertility but has my rainbow baby- just because my journey to hold my son was only 2 years, It doesn't mean it hurt any less. I just needed to say that. I instantly felt bad for you the moment you made that comment.
