Hi there,
In this long episode of VHTV I head to the pig farm to do some zeroing before some night time hunting using the BSA Ultra SE and the Nite Site Viper.
I also give you a few tips that I’ve picked up over the last few weeks on how to extend your spotting range if you have a Viper from over the stated 100m.
This episode is around 32 minutes long so if you think you will be bored then please don’t watch it. I say this now but I can guarantee there will be at least 1 smart comment, there always is.
Cheers
Si and Davy.

that was inspiring and very informative ! Thanks Si ! I've just bought a simple but I guess decent Hatsan 44-10 Long 5,5 mm and a Hawke 3-9*40 scope . I'm considering to buy an add-on NV instead of an integrated scope like the Yukon Photon . I've seen both the Nite Site systems and the Nite Tek NT200 and over time I'd like to add an extra IR illuminator and even an IR aiming laser ...

Thanx Si I happen to have exactly the same rifle/scope/nitesite and I haven't found a sub 12 ft/lb rifle that is as accurate, The BSA Ultra SE is a damn fine gun and your shooting makes it a must have. The nitesite Viper with the TAC 30 is unbeatable

Thanks Si, Very good and informative. I am in limbo as I don't know whether or not to go with the Yukon/T20 or now that you have shown this, the Nite Site Viper! Suppose the benefit of the Viper is you can fit this to your various rifles without having to re-zero whereas with the Yukon, you have to remove your scope completely for each one when being used! ATB Frankie ps - my R-10 FAC .177 is awesome now its been regulator upgraded by Darren at XTX Air:-)

Great video and fantastic information. Many thanks. Can you tell me which model of T20 illuminator that you used in the video please. I see that there are several to choose from on the internet and some of them seem to have shorter bodies/shanks than others and I'm concerned that I won't be able to fit my viper scope clamp and the rail clamp onto the device if the shank is too short. Regards, Craig.

Excellent video. Two questions 1. Can the screen be positioned further back towards me without affecting performance? (When I buy one I would prefer a closer viewing position). 2. My T20 is the Red LED version. Would I need the IR version to work with the Viper. Thanks for all the great videos. Regards Glenn

Hi Si, excellent video. I enjoy watching VHTV I have a Dynamax in .177 (similar to the old ultra) with a Hawke Varmint SF 2.5-10x44 I got the Viper recently but I struggle to see more than 70 yards at full zoom. Would this be the scope? a T20 might fix it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skill.
@VerminHuntersTV
@VerminHuntersTV 10 жыл бұрын
Yes you have hit the nail on the head there Peter. Different scopes will work differently with NV. Some scopes like the MTC Mamba are very good with NV, but some brands are rubbish and limit your shooting and viewing range. Theres also the fact that the higher the mag the less light is let into the scope so you loose distance. I believe with a T20 you will extend your range on a higher zoom by quite a distance. As you seen on my demo with the NS Viper you can see and shoot at 100m if you needed and you would see a back stop, but with a T20 at 100M its almost too bright and so the mag needs bumping up to x10 to make it not so bright.

I use an NS200 for night time ratting on my Air Arms FAC 400 and it is a deadly combo..I am impressed with the Nitesite but not so impressed with their response to issues regarding it once it was out or warranty..Vids like your own help promote nitesites night vision equipment but i would just tell people that i had experiences with them once the unit was out of warranty' which left me very disappointed..I also know of others who experienced the same help or lack of it..

Hi Si, on other nice video there! Regarding the picture dimming... I have the same problem with a spotter that I have built. When the cable is plugged in the DVR ( not the same as your), the image on the camcorder viewfinder (don't use a screen) gets really dim, just like in your video but it shows perfect on the DVR. I know it's not the cable, as when I use it on the add on it works perfect. I think it has to do with video feed power, not enough signal for two devices. Possibly needs a video amplifier. Please let us know what Nitesite say about this problem. Franco

Try Jsb exact heavy 10.34 grain, they're even better for long range accuracy even though they fly slightly slower, the zero will be exactly the same but the ballistic coefficient is better and they group even better especially in the wind. I fitted a Huma reg to my ultra .177, 30 perfect shots per fill will virtually no variation. The ultra is amazing, but with the reg it is even better, the best £100 I've spent. Pigeons through the eye at 50 yards every time... :-)

Hi Si from Melksham . I know that this is an older Video , but it is a good one . As a Disabled shooter , i have looked at the BSA Ultra SE as it is lighter than many of my other Rifles that are now to heavy for me to use . I am a .22 man as a rule , but i have been intrested in the Ultra 1.77 for a while now . Would you say that the BSA ultra se is a gun that someone with back and mussel problems can use to it's fullest . I hope you can advise me one way or the other. P S when is your next meet up this year , as i would love to come and learn more about shooting , as i am not one of the best , or worst just average and would like to inprove even at my age , i am a BSA man as well as i have the .22 and .25 spitfire pcp's my best Rifles

The rifles that I find great in the order I personally like them are: Weihrauch HW100SK or KT The BSA Ultra SE. BSA r10 Mk 2 Air Arms S410 Air Arms S200 Brocock Contour The Daystates are very accurate rifles but I find them too expensive and can be matched in accuracy terms with rifles alot cheaper in price so I tend to stick to my budget and one of the above models. I think that in terms of accuracy the HW100, Ultra SE, R10 mk 2 and S410 will outshoot anyone in the world no matter how good they are,
