Is there a mic on the unit or do you have to use the audio input. And if you do have to use the input can you attach a mic with a 3.5mm connector. Thanks

Yes , there is a mic in the controller box . You don't have to connect the 3.5mm connector . You can put this controller box near by the speaker .

Does this work with WS2811 ? If yes what is the IC SETTING ? I have the X1 music controller and only the first 3 LED's light up when starting the controller. And nothing changes even when I change the modes. Please help me.

Yes ,it can work with WS2811 LED strip .You can select the 1903 IC for WS2811

was thinking of getting this for my car. how would the wire diagram look if I was to set this to my car stereo system. I am very new to wiring so I am very lost on all the Amps and voltages stuff. I would like two strip going. one playing to all the music (Full RGB) and one going just to the bass speakers in two colors. one bass speaker red and one bass speaker blue.

Hello, WS2812B LED strip is 5V strip, so you can only use 5V power supply. You can use the 5V 20A power supply. If you want two strips, one playing with music and one just to the bass speakers in two colors at the same time, you need to buy two X2 music controllers. Because the X2 music controller only can't play two module at the same time, if you use the module , you can't use the non music module.

I have tested the controller and the led strip so many times , there is no lag in timing of the music and the lighting effect .

Hello， Please don't use DC12V for the led strip WS2812B ,it will burn it . So use DC5V20A or DC5V10A is ok

ALL the WS2812B LED strip is OK , you can use 30LED/m 60LED/m IP30 IP65 or IP67. The total is MAX 1000 LEDs . In this video ,I used two reels WS2812B 5m 60led/m IP30

ALL of them is ok . Use them indoor only . IP65 and IP67 are splashproof . can not work outside .

Make sure your led strip has an intelligent IC chip , As I know the 5050 RGBW LED strip has no IC chip , so this controller can not control it . I can recommand you this controller ,this is alexa controller with the music mode for 5050RGBW(5050RGB) led strip . www.amazon.com/dp/B079HN5JK4

Hi just setup my new X2 with 4 x 5m ws2812b (20m in total) using your power supplies. All is going well but I have a few questions. Can you adjust the brightness using the X2 as it always seems to be maximum bright?

Thanks for the reply. I am having problem with voltage drop and was hoping to turn down brightness. I will need to add more power. I already have 1 x 5v 60A and 2 x 5v 20A transformers from you feeding the 4 x 5m ws2812b but still have issues with voltage drop. Should that be enough power? Any ideas on how to improve?Does it make a difference in the power goes into the strip at different ends?

Add power at both ends ands on each strip and this will help stop volt drop. it will be hardly noticeable except in full white mode.

Max control 1000 pixels , if it is 5m 150pixels , you can control 6 reels of led strip . Total 90m . If it is 5m 300 LEDs , you only can control 3 reels .

It depends on the number of IC (Pixel) not the length . You can count how many pixels do you want to control . This controller can control MAX 1000 Pixels

Which led strip do you use ? WS2812B LED strip ? How many pixels ? If it is 600 LED ,yes this controller can control 32.8 ft led strip easily .

When I power on the controller it’s just says “0110” but all the leds are on. I can’t control them and the controller doesn’t respond to any button presses or remote inputs please help!

we usually use 3.5mm audio input port to play music on this controller . there is a internal mic in the controller , so the controller also can work with out the muis input port . I don't think it can connect to computer. So sorry

Because I saw the diagram that you connected the 3.5 out audio input port to the speakers and the other in to the cellphone. That's why I would like to know for sure if it works even without connecting the controller to any source.

BTF-LIGHTING yes it's two WS2812B strips with 300 LEDs each. So 600 LEDs total with a 5v 15a power supply

Hello, 600leds needs about 36A. you have better add a 5Vpower supply every16.4ft. Because the LEDs at the far end of the strip might be dimmer due to the added resistance and voltage drop that occurs as the current flows to that end of the strip.

BTF-LIGHTING I tried to wire the led strips but they didn't light up. I only connected one strip with 300 LEDs to the 5v15a power supply. In this video I think you used a 5v10a for one strip so 5v15a should work too right?

Although I have NOT tried this; I am confident it could be done; sorta. You can have as many controllers as you wish; assuming they can be powered properly. Although the remote is unlikely to work across all controllers; how often will you really change the settings? Set it on controller itself and be done with it. Power all controllers from a single power strip; thus able to turn them all on/off easily. The audio signal could be split amongst the controllers; thus all controllers respond to the same audio.

Hi There. I bought the same unit, and same LED strip. I cant seem to get anything working. Ive tried multiple configs. Am i missing something? I have the same LED strip as you linked in your comments. I am however a bit confused as to which pint the green wire goes in. If i put it in the C point, no leds come on, if i put it in the D point, the unit freezes and some random LEDs come on. I dont get it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. PS: I have two of these units and they are both doing the same thing with the wiring. oh, and my power supply is +5V = 0.3A and its powering the LEDs and unit. Is that correct power rating?

Hello , I have read your comment , the green wire has to go in D point . I guess your power adapter is not enough. I recommand a DC5V20A power adapter for each rolls (ws2812b 300leds). If you use a DC5V10A power adapter for each rolls (ws2812b 300leds) , that would be ok. In this vedio , I used the DC5V10A power adapter .If you have anyother question, you can ask me, I will help you to slove.

BTF-LIGHTING you were right. It was the power supply. The new one works great. Thanks. I will say this though. The audio input is extremely sensitive. If you don't have the jack plugged in just right, the lights constantly flash before you even play some music. And that's the same on both units. Weird.

Yes , you can use it to control the WS2813 , the DATA wire and the backup data wire put then in the D point. the IC chip you can select the 1903 . DC5V 30A or 40A or 50A , all of them are OK . Make sure the voltage is DC5V. For example , If you use DC5V20A , you can light up 300Leds total. DC5V40A can light up 600 leds. If you use DC5V40A to light up 300 Leds , sure it can . It wouldn't fry anything if you use DC5V . But if you use DC12V, it will fry the led strip. Please don't use DC12V , even DC6V .

Hello, X1 music controller only can adjust 600 pixels ,and X2 can adjust 1000 pixels. X1 only can use remote to control the controller, And the X2 you don't need to use remote it is also can control the controller.Because X2 controller has the buttons, you can use these buttons to control the led strip.

Just received my unit today. I hooked up a single led light strip (ws2812b) and the blue lights blinked once and nothing else happened. The display has not turned on even when I press the power on button. My power supply is an Alitove 5v 15A. Here is the link to the lights I am using. Hello , the green wire has to go in D point . 1. you should select the right IC type, for this ws2812b led strip , you can select 1903 IC or 6812 IC 2.select the music mode 2001 and try to play a music 3.adjust the music input volume adjust knob during you playing a song . Yes, so far it is working. I just skinned my wires more and checked all my connections. Now I plan to add a second led stip. I do have another 10A power supply if I need it.

in this video I control two roll led strip (ws2812b led strip 300leds) with a DC5V10A power adapter . Theoretically you have to add a power supply, but you can add according to the actual situation. If the light is not bright enough you can add. I suggest you buy the the same led strip with the first one .
