I was reading someone else's comment on their work ethic and wanted to add: When they were all sleeping in one bedroom and poor, Jin cooked breakfast for the kids (Jimin, V and. Jungkook), and drove them to school. Suga would pick them up from school and bring them to studio to practice. Rest of team worked on songwriting while they were in school. They have cranked out almost 2 albums a year for last 9 years, and tons of other content as a group and individually. Also, he doesn't talk about it, but Jin was the poorest dancer and often works by himself with choreographer for a couple of weeks ahead of the whole team learning a new dance.

The 3 rappers are very different. RM is an intellectual rapper with lots of word ply and doubles in English and Korean. Suga is an emotional rapper. I just want to note that, though the video does not say it, which is the critical flaw of this otherwise strong video, j-hope is one of the three MAIN songwriters with 135 credits to his name and credits dating back to pre-debut. As a rapper, that is important to note. He WRITES. This video spends time on his dance and his leadership, but spends little time on his rap craft or writing style (they say it the same way they do for the vocal line who have 20 credits or less each) and, again, because he's a rapper 12 years into his career and THEE hip hop head of the group, he deserves to have that discussed. That goes to his credibility. Rappers write. I guess I'll sum it up by saying his lyrics are always really abstract, referential, and almost never mean what they read as on a surface level. Our translators say he's the hardest to translate for and sometimes he hides the meaning in references, adlibs, even production but he generally tends toward optimism and kindness even when the subject matter is contemplative or dark. As a rapper, his signature is versatility. He always comes onto a track sideways and switches it up and he has like 10 different rap voices and literally does every kind of flow you can think of except bad ones. haha. As a dancer, he's great at finding the right place to put the beats and as a sub-vocalist he's great at finding catchy melodies. Anyway, again, this is a great intro, but I really feel like it does a bit of a disservice to one of the "three musical pillars" and founding members of the group and as a really one-of-a-kind rapper and writer. So I wanted to amend that here.

When they did go on a few games shows in the beginning, they were treated so badly and mocked. I'll never forget how Jk bought burgers for the hosts . They told him they didn't want it because it looked like dog food! I was so happy when years later those same hosts had to give a full bow to BTS. Not to mention that things got so bad that apparently Jin saved Suga from su1c1de. And JK stopped Jhope from leaving. And all the injuries they've had, and they still performed. When Suga was still Gloss, he produced 518062 about the democratic uprising, which later led to a reopening in the case and a victims bodies being returned to the families almost 40 years later. And they did Spring Day which was a comenmoration to the Sewol disaster. They deserve the world

@@MixItUpPodcast Not sure why they're so mean, if the idol is from an small agency, most of the host try to do ”comedy” by making fun of the idols weight, how they look, how they dress, or how they act... the mistreatment gets worse for female idols. The kpop industry sucks, glad BTS survived through all those mistreatments. Believe it or not, they're still mistreated to this day, when they didn't win Grammy, the Korean media headlines were all like “They failed on getting a Grammy” when getting a Grammy nomination it's already a great achievement. This is because Korean media it's monopolized by the “Big Tree” the companies from other kpop groups. They're jealous of BTS success, and want to make them look like they didn't deserve the nomination, make it look like other groups from other agencies (like SM, or YG or CUBE) deserved it. Jin didn't save Yoongi from suicide, that's a rumor. From what I understand, Yoongi's attempt was when he was still a teen or extremely young adult. He said in The Last that when he came to Seoul which would have been around 2011 before Jin was even scouted, he went to the therapist with his parents and the doctor asked him if he'd ever had those thoughts or done anything. He replied yes.

When BTS started out, their CEO, Bang Si-Hyuk, who is an amazing songwriter and producer himself, encouraged them to push their own limits and do new things. The members who don't write music were encouraged to try and contribute as much as they want. I also believe because they are all so busy being involved in so many projects in their daily lives, they have learned at a really young age to appreciate what they earn in return and stay humble and appreciative of each other. They are all incredibly talented. In a past interview, when asked who were their competitors, they said 'each other' and that at the same time they were each other's best motivators. @@MixItUpPodcast I imagine that could be really tedious if you're trying to edit in pauses to a separate downloaded video every time. In the future, maybe you could try screen recording the device you're watching the video on instead? Then you just have to sync the recording once at the start and everything after will automatically match up, even if you get an add or if you pause the video. There are a lot of free programs available, but make sure you test them on longer videos before using it for a reaction so you don't risk loosing footage. Also, if you're going to download the add free video anyway, maybe try downloading it first and watching that way so you avoid the add breaks (Or if you profit enough from reacting, you could put a portion of that into KZfaq premium so the creators get a kickback and you avoid adds)

This is my first vid of you guys and it was a joy! Thanks for watching!! I’ve been a fan since early 2016 and am also a big fan of Kpop in general. So proud of the boys and so proud to be ARMY. We roll deep and sometimes the toxic voices are those who yell the loudest and we get a bad rap. But, generally we do a lot of good and are just busy consuming the massive amounts of BTS content coming out, lol. Not only does BTS do so much more content and in depth behind the scenes than any other western celebrity, nearly all of it is free and they have a huge catalog of not only official music, but unofficial music, covers, and albums. If you want R&B def check out V’s solo songs “ Singularity” and “Stigma.” But they also did a ton of R&B as a group from 2013-15 and still some now. Good ones to check out are “Hold Me Tight,” “Let Me Know,” “24/7=Heaven,” “Autumn Leaves” “Just One Day,” “Outro: Her,” “Coffe,” “Fly to my Room”….I could go on Also I personally really recommend “House of Cards” which is actually a unit song by just the 4 vocalists, and “Rain” which actually more of a slow jazz song, but the rappers give it rhythm too. …RM actually has a lot of R&B in his solo stuff as well you would

I appreciate you explaining your choices, that is the best way to counter thousands of "why don't you...?" comments. 😉 The translation issue is difficult because it involves a lot of interpretation not just translation, so opinions differ a little as to what is best. The doolset website is generally considered the best source of truth, but not everyone enjoys having to read subs without the video and that's okay. Just never use auto-generated subs, that will make all of us cry. 😫 RM just released his first official solo album Indigo (the others were considered mixtapes), so he's far past the 187 credits now. 😁

This video is the best! But I just want to point out that even tho it's "accurate as of May 2022" It's still not updated because with BTS you basically can't have an updated version for a long time. If you want an accurate update of BTS you would have to add another 5 Minutes every other week because they are working so much that they achieve something new every other week. For example as of May till now, they again released multiple solo albums, other projects, won many awards and broke records. Update: as of Dec 2022, BTS hold the record of the 4th most awarded artist in the world with +800 awards. But awards and first places are stolen from them. I urge you to watch the information videos by Boracity Magazine: BTS vs radio BTS vs Spotify BTS vs attendance award shows BTS vs boybands coming back Why most Armys don't like Kpop "the next bts:" why they fail every time. bts paved the way, why is it so hard to accept it? the truth behind crazy fandoms how BTS rules chrismas every year

Thank you so much for this reaction!!!!! 💜💜💜💜 Now you know why ARMY is as big as it is. For RM- I would recommend listening to Joke from his first mixtape and Wild Flower from him latest album Indigo that he just released in December 2022. For Suga- I would recomment listening to Daechwita from his second mixtape D-2 and AGUST D from his first mixtape. For Jhope- Yes it looks like he has more of a funky bright style of music but his latest album Jack in the box which he released last year surprised us all. I would recommend More and also Daydream from his mixtape. For Jin- He is the first member to join the Millitary and before joining he released a song The Astronaut with Coldplay (Produced and co-written by Coldplay and Max Martin) For Jungkook- I would recommend watching Dreamers which was the Fifa official soundtrack for this world cup. I would also recommend Euphoria. For V- I would recommend Singuarity and Stigma for that R&B. For Jimin- I would recommend listening to Serendipity and Lie. P.S. - OST is Official Sound Track.

It appears to be an *R&B song,* so you can check it out fresh 😄 P.S.: the track is called 'VIBE' P.P.S.: this song is actually a big deal in Korea, because it's a collab between two top singers from two top groups, and because their companies and fandoms are also huge rivals (like, fandoms HATE each other)... The clip where they show the boys singing for Jin's graduation was done at home because Jin was touring and missed the big day. I read once that Jhope swapped with Jin to train as a rapper because Jin was struggling learning to rap. Then Jin put all his efforts into learning to sing. We reckon he did well. Jungkook was only 13 when he joined the company and had to move to Seoul, the ages he said are Korean age which counts different, so he was only 15 when they debuted. Jin, who had a car used to drive him to school, which is probably why they are so close. OST means original sound track, for movies or Kdramas. People think Jimin is sweet and soft, which he is, but he also studied many martial arts proficiently. Members of the group have said that Jimin is the most scary when he is angry. He acts sweet and silly much of the time but he is actually very intelligent and was class president for much of his school life and would cover for absent teachers. He is a perfectionist, and the members say he worked the hardest to perfect himself. The awards wall now has over 1000 awards.

a small point regarding the AGES of the guys mentioned in the video, this video has their Korean ages. that means, the following: at birth in Korea, a child is 1 years old when internationally that baby would be considered 0 years old. also in Korea, on January 1 of each year each person ages 1 year (since that is the year they are turning that age). so, for instance, Kim Taehyung, aka V, was born Dec 30 and at birth he was 1 years old. then 2 days later, on Jan 1 he became 2 years old. I'm saying this so that you realize that they were younger than the oft repeated 15 years old in the segments for each member's milestones... like Jungkook was 13 when he moved into the BTS dorms. He was in middle school and the other members attended his middle school graduation. It makes the statement that the guys 'raised him' make more sense.

As much as I love the job Taylor did with this video there’s a few more out there with more in that she missed! If you get a chance check out X Celeste This is BTS Introduction to BTS BTS Hardships And This is BTS Army. And Rice Squads : The Most Beautiful Life Goes On Story of BTS 2022 update! No reading required and they are very informative!!

I like Rice Squad’s bc it focuses on their albums a lot more. The album themes are very important to me and help with understanding the lyrics better.

They all offer a little different take on the info they present which I really appreciate. They should all be watched for a more complete /well rounded understanding of BTS and ARMY tbh.

I Love how RM categorized the percentage of their Success, instead of saying cliche things like "Oh I'll give 100% to our Fans" He mentioned Everyone who is behind their Success, n thts a Great Leader right there. BTS don't fake it, like many other Artists do. n Even tho BTS is the one who made Army and their small company This big by their Hardwork, Amazing Music n Lyricism, he still gave themselves a small portion of their Success when they r the one who deserves the most, thts why I love BTS 💜💜

Ah, I'm so sad that the video got de synced because of the ad between RM and Suga. I'm glad you guys watched and enjoyed the video, though. This was my first time seeing one of your videos, so I'll be subbed for future BTS reactions!

I suggest "Joke" by RM. BTS is who helped me appreciate rap... As an old white chick...I am not typically in that demographic... I adore these 7 young men

Fun fact!!! Jins started serving in the military as of last month and it will continue until 2 years from now!!! Due to being close in age the 2nd oldest should be joining him this year i believe? but some of the members are doing individual promotions and projects if my knowledge serves me right!

To have a little perspective, I don't know any other artist that has a fandom as well organised or strong and protective as ARMY!!! the reason I think is that sort of we grow together, they shared their life and thoughts, they celebrated with us every special moment, they are sincere! and there no masks, we have shared tears and laughs and their music help many of us to overcome obstacles or to make us feel better if we had a bad day. That's why I think we Armies love them so much! Borahae!!💜💜

Thank you for watching this we love long videos! BTS is very different and so ridiculously hard working and talented and every member brings something unique to the group. It’s why you can’t pin them down a style they do and experiment in all genres and cross genres and are ridiculously creative. Think of them like year round song writing camp they work and encourage each other to be are also closer than family from living in each other’s pockets for so many years.

I’ve watched this Guide and various reactions to the Guide more 20 times. As many Army probably have. Never gets old and never stops being interesting. Thank you so much for sharing this and for taking the time to learn more about BTS. We really appreciate the thoughtfulness and open mindedness you both had. 💜
