This time I saw different BTS. Seems like they have more matured. The English speaking levels of the boys have developed pretty good. They were more confident in front of the audience and the best moment that I loved watching is they fought for the mic😂😂🤣. From what I have seen compare to the previous videos where they were not so diligent giving an acceptance speech at the award shows by passing mic into each other or always were scaredy cats. 🤣😆 This time was different. They were more brave and confident. I loved it. I adore them so much!💜💜

V acting very dramatic is actually pretty normal! I think most Armys directly noticed that he was joking during the award speech because his tone was drastically different. He really likes to randomly burst out singing operas in a joking way too.

Yeah Namjoon definitely has a goofy side. It mostly comes out when he's hanging around Jin. I think it probably has to do with Jin being the oldest so he kind of can let his guard down a bit and be able to actually act like the younger one. Plus, he tends to go along with Jin's jokes as long as they're done in the right moment.

Namjoon also gets goofy with V Taehyung a lot in the behind the scenes. V loves to play around with RM and RM joins in quite often. They have a sibling energy that's so real.

Yeah he’s really come a long way 😭😭 he used to avoid speaking publicly especially at award shows and here he is at an American award show comfortably giving speeches in ENGLISH

@@Ahjusshi_Brown yes, he was extremly shy back then, he barely talk. He even waited for al the hyungs to go to sleep so he can have a shower. Is really hard to get over that type of shyness to i admire him so much for that

@@emclouds he was shy he waited all his hyungs to have a shower and go to sleep so he could have a shower, that is extremly shyness which i had the same and was super hard for me that's why i admire him, is not easy at all to be THAT shy. So much anxiety and even low selfesteem and restrained but he overcome that, he did great (sorry my english is not the best)

I feel that since Suga had the surgery done on his arm which he was suffering with for a very long time. He just seems happier and more calm and in the moment then he was before. I've noticed that alot lately he's happy💜

Yes!! Agree so much with this. Plus, I feel like he can sort of relax. They’re not struggling to make it anymore. There’s still pressure, but not the same kind and I think he feels that.

Taehyung reminds me of the kid in class, who is goofing around or in his own world, but always correctly answers whatever question the teacher throws at him when he is caught not paying attention. and the rest of the class gets annoyed because we all paid attention and sometimes still can't answer correctly.

A quote I love from their Rolling Stone interview is when they were asked “How do you create the balance between who you are outside of BTS versus the members we see on our screens? Is it difficult to hold onto the public persona? V answer- “It would be difficult if my public persona was fake, but it’s not, so it’s not difficult”

the "jin, rm and j-hope love their company more than the others" thing was an inside joke because we found out later the three of them cashed out and sold some of their shares they had in the company at that time so they each got millions of dollars from those sold shares, they're hilarious😭

V is actually and actor and even played a role in a movie. He often has moments where he starts to randomly act as a joke. He has a very unique personality and likes to do dramatic facial expressions or reactions sometimes.

When Jimin is nervous he does have this sad/upset expression he wears. That’s how I knew he was very nervous at the AMAs bc he was very quiet and he had that expression the whole night pretty much. I think by the time the VLIVE happened he was exhausted from the day but probably also emotionally exhausted from being so keyed up and nervous/anxious all day.

Oh you have no idea...RM is a big baby trapped in the mind of a harvard professor. XD When he unleashes his goofiness, it's pure chaos. I love that about him. Suga is also very energetic when he's in the mood. He's goofy and very very loud. His energy levels can go from 0 to 100 without warning, no in-between. And you are absolutely right about jungkook, something happened to him, he changed dramatically in the past year, became much more confident and outgoing. He's shining bright these days, kinda burns your eyes if you stare at him too long

I think the whole entire trip was super overwhelming for Jimin- not necessarily in a bad way. He mentioned it in their Vlive after the first day of their concert how he almost felt like he couldn’t enjoy it entirely because of how much he was taken back by the crowd and just the sheer fact that they were back on stage. Over the pandemic they were all deeply anxious about losing all their fan etc. but Jimin was so vocal about how it affected him mentally so I think it definitely comes though in this vlive. I don’t think he’s ‘sad’ necessarily, I think just all the emotions of the day really exhausted him by this point which you expertly pointed out. Great video, as insightful as ever :)

I find Jimin’s Vlives to be especially interesting for these reasons, he’s sometimes honest and open to a point where it gets a little uncomfortable I really cherish that

The first thing I said to myself when Suga was performing his rap in Butter at the AMA’s was ‘Suga is back’. Yes Min Yoongi is an introvert but he has amazing stage presence. They have all missed performing for an audience and making music is their life. However, you may not be aware Yoongi suffered chronic pain from a shoulder injury for years and I think this contributed to his ‘sleepy’ and disinterested persona (even before COVID). As this last year has rolled on and he has recovered from surgery, I have observed him become happier and more relaxed. The opportunity to perform again when he is feeling well could not have come at a better time.

I 100% agree with this. I think for ALL the guys their 3-ish weeks in LA was like coming alive after a 2-year sleep (more like a nightmare). For SUGA specifically, though, what we saw was a pain-free, well-rested man who was thrilled to be back doing what he was born to do. I don't think anyone knew over the years how much the pain must have been affecting him...but seeing him since he returned from the surgery/recovery, he's just a more relaxed, happier person than ever before...and I LOVE that for him. For everyone else, the LA trip had them back to doing what they were born to do and loving every minute of it.

YES! It was so great to see Suga's smiles in any and all pictures and videos taken while they were in LA. Love to see him so happy. As he is an introvert and one who thoroughly derives happiness from things such as his producing, I did not expect to see the amazingly huge grins on his face to be back performing! Happy, yes of course, but he was ecstatic to be back on stage!

@@OT7_DopeOldARMY I agree. I just discovered BTS at the end of 2020 and I love their music, dancing and the way they interact with each other (watched their videos). I noticed Suga on one video where he gets angry when awaken from sleep, not smiling during performances, on picture taking, he seemed angry. Then I found out he was out for surgery, and how the boys kept him when performing (a space was added for him in their performances) what more can I say about BTS? I see him smiling, singing and dancing with enjoyment at their concerts. A new Suga to me, and love him, as well as the other members too!! Thank you.

@@jmas2802 dude he was never angry it is just how some of these compilation or introduction videos portray him like that. He was certainly calm and quiet (not all the time) but at the same time he was very patient and do you know suga never shouted at someone. So it is not a new side of suga you was introduced to it is just an updated version of him.😁

1:43 I love how you brought up the mic - I felt bad for literally any kinda tall artist that accepted the award. A lot of them bent over like RM did here, but there was one artist who just picked it all up in order to stand. I think the mic stand was one of those non-adjustable ones.

Even Becky G was crouching a little - and she's miniature. I think Cardi mentioned to someone at some point that they could stand up and talk and the mic would pick it up, but obviously, no one got that memo - or trusted it. Seems like that would be a disaster for the sound engineers, too. Definitely a weird choice in what everyone knew would be a wild crowd!

4:22 interesting what you said about Jungkook and i totally agree. as an army myself, i’ve noticed Jungkook has changed a lot in recent years. in a way he’s still the same, he’s still a humble and sweet guy but nowadays he seems to exert more confidence in everything he does; he takes the lead if needed (like in this speech for example), he doesn’t hide in the corner as much (unless he’s tired of bored haha) and he just seems to be a lot more comfortable in his skin. i’m not saying he wasn’t before, but there’s definitely a big change in him since around 2019, the time where he started getting tattoos, changing his overall style a bit, etc... i feel like him expressing himself the way he wants to helped him be more confident in his own skin. he often doesn’t really like to talk a lot in interviews or give public speeches so seeing him giving a speech with so much confidence at the AMAs surprised everyone! he has grown up beautifully and i can't wait to see him evolve even more. also another thing: j-hope always always shows interest in other members at all times, he’s that caring! he always makes sure everyone is included and he’ll stop something he’s doing in order to engage with another member.. i want to write about every single one of them but my comment is already too long ahah

YES, regarding JK. When I think of the countless videos of him at other awards shows literally moving around on the stage to AVOID talking...and this time he has to be literally dragged away from the mic by Jin. I'll add about RMs portion of this speech that it wouldn't have been too long if only he was planned to speak, but they carefully determine who will speak for each acceptance. They also carefully prepare English for acceptance speeches where that's appropriate (US award shows, for example), and since no one but RM speaks English fluently they literally work on pronunciation, inflection, in addition to the words themselves. They are all doing SO much better with their English, and I think they're starting to understand a lot more than they used to, but each one is at a different place in that English-learning journey. They also do this for their "ending 'ments during concerts, by the way. Each one of them always says something. In LA, I think everyone but SUGA prepared English for at least one concert...some did for all concerts...some did for one but then spoke in Korean in the end (Tae, specifically said he did that). Jimin spoke in English the first night, but on the second night he spoke in Korean. He mentioned somewhere (can't remember where) that he spoke in Korean because he just really wanted to feel like he had expressed what he was feeling, and he didn't feel like he was doing that with English. That's because they memorize the English, and I think it's because they basically memorize the words without truly understanding them beyond a translation of their Korean intention - but in Korean they would elaborate - "wax poetic" so to speak - as their "ment" goes on. There are many behind-the-scenes videos of them practicing their English "lines" (their portions of speeches). RM also usually has carefully prepared speeches planned, even though he speaks fluent English. During one of the LA concerts he actually said he purposely didn't prepare anything - basically so that it would be free-flowing and heartfelt, I think.

Jungkook's growth of confidence over the years is really something noticeable in the first place. He used to be very introvert & shy that he hardly used to talk BUT now he is literally giving speech at International award show that is too in English & he is absolutely calm, comfortable while giving speech. Just love to see this cool & confident Jungkook, he is really killing it

Namjoon gets all goofy and playful when he is with Taehyung and he's in that mood too, Joonie just follows anything Taehyung is doing. I think there is a compilation somewhere, they are cute.

J-hope is also the one most concerned with stage performances, in a professional way. His reactions to his team mates are often about things that could affect the stage. Like if JK doesn’t sleep well, will it affect his performance? Or confirming that JK loves to perform. A lot of it is meant to check if and enhance that everybody is in a good mental or physical state. He’s such a professional.

Jimin is a very unique guy for me..he’s always looking after all the members quietly..he notice when a member is feeling down..he’s also very open about affection..he doesn’t feel awkward to give physical affection..I believe he’s the one who has the closest connection with all the members equally..I noticed the members don’t feel awkward to express their emotions or have any physical contact when they’re with jimin..jimin is very aware of people..he switches his aura with each member..not in a fake way.. Even rm expressed that he has a deep connection with jimin..jimin is the type of person to willingly push aside his problems for others..he adjusts to others well..he’s very empathetic..

Yes, Hobi, Taehyung, JK and Jimin went to a Harry´s concert and had such a great time. Harry noticed them and when they were leaving he said something like "im glad my special friends were here with me tonight." it was amazing :D

Suga tend to be more reserved during interviews but when they're filming other than interviews, he tends to talk quite a lot. Actually Suga and Jimin can be quite a funny pair sometimes cause they tend to bicker like an old married couple lol. Suga would tease Jimin and Jimin would respond by showing him his sassy side haha. There's a video on BangtanTV entitled BE-hind Story, where they talked about their album BE. There were few moments in that video when Suga and Jimin tease each other

Well, V is a very natural actor. He loves doing roleplay with members (and in the lack of members with himself). He acted in a k drama before, but he do lot of random skits every now and then. He is raw, real, he show his real emotions most of the time. But he is actor, he love exaggerated action, he love being flamboyant. If you look at any V focus video, you would see him making lot of different faces, moves, gestures. He is real and insanely good actor at the same time and I think how that work so well is similar to what you said in this video about V... he lives in his mind a lot, he is playing character in his mind, and that is how he act so spontaneously, yet keep it real.

With v he has somewhat of a resting b face so if he just looks calm and composed that’s not really an indication of how he’s actually feeling. He is very honest but I would not say he’s often “raw” he does get like that when he’s experiencing deep or intense emotions but he loves to act and play and thinks very deeply in a way that’s outside of the box. So often when he is being more expressive it’s to entertain, himself the members army’s he can get pretty dramatic and is so sweet and funny! I feel like what you were interpreting as his level of attention as presence was more like his level of active engagement. He’s very very observant so even when his body language is not attentive he is listening and seeing more than the average person would. We’ve seen this many times how he can read a situation. So when he projects more actively it’s more like when he feels like joining the conversation.

Jungkook is really calm, collected and funny when needed. His aura is positive and bright. I love his shy side and confident side too. Iam so proud of the person he became. 💜

J-Hope is always a hype man. He often talks about feeling regretful in English interviews that RM has to carry the load, so he tries to jump in with expressions and gestures to hype him up because he feels that's all he can contribute in that situation. I think it has become a habit for him over the years to hype everyone. I also think these guys learned early that if you want the guys to give you positive reinforcement when you speak, you need to do the same for them. There is nothing worse than getting absolutely no reaction when you speak. I love JK's new confidence. He has been studying english hard and he clearly feels more confident, plus I think it helps that he feels more like an equal with the guys in terms of maturity lately instead of their baby. An age difference between 25-30 is much less significant than an age difference between 15-20. They all have every aspect of their lives in common now. It's hilarious that because of the wifi issue, 15 million of us watched a blank screen with no sound while this was going on. It was uploaded later for us to actually see. RM most definitely has a goofy side. I think it's incredible how he can switch from being the serious leader who commands (and gets) total respect from the members to being a goofball with them the next. It must be a tightrope to walk. taehyung has a resting face where he seems intimidating and not present but he's the biggest softie in the world lol. he's said that before how people always get the wrong impression of him because of his resting face. also what you said about how he is always raw echoed something jimin said. jimin was talking about how they both get nervous for interviews, so when taehyung speaks, you can tell how honest it is and it just hits you straight in the heart. i do think he gets inside his head sometimes, but that doesn't mean he isn't present; he's very very attentive (jungkook even said this; that he checks everything from 1 to 10 and jin said taehyung is very emotionally attentive to the members when they are down). i also feel like when it looks like he's inside his head is him actually being present. also one thing you definitely missed was the acting hahahaha. taehyung loves acting and he's acted in a drama before, and will break out into skits at any point no matter what they're doing; whether they're at award shows, playing games you name it. it's funny and adorable to see how the members always go along with him

The AMA Sprech made me so proud! I still remember the time when literally all of them were scared to talk on stage, even RM and now they're scrambling to get a hold of it. Especially for Jungkook it was amazing to see him try his English speech and even though he messes up (which is understandable) he doesn't seem as faced about it as he would back in 2018.

Namjoon and Yoongi in Festa 2019 mentioned how much of a good listener Hobi is. He knows when to listen and when to voice his mind. He is really aware and so introspective. He also makes sure to engage when other members are speaking to let them know he is listening. I've said this before and I'm saying this now, Hobi is one of BTS' strongest glue that holds them together. 💜

The interesting thing about Kookie taking the lead is that he’s the Maknae. He’s the youngest, and in Korean culture, he should be expected to always defer to his Hyungs, the older members. But the Hyungs are so proud of him, like parents, they always allow him to take his moments. As for Taehyung, V, he’s definitely raw. Even in the recent concerts he said he’d practiced some remarks in English, but felt he just needed to let things flow through the translator. He didn’t want to do a rehearsed speech. It’s really interesting to watch him in an English language interview versus a Korean or Japanese interview.

It's also interesting that Jungkook sitting at the end of the table and Jin is sitting closest to the door - usually it's the other way around. It just shows that the guys really are like a family of friends and respect each other equally.

jimin is the kind of person who usually looks out more for the others. it's the same when the guys are happy, he always makes sure to look after them, because with happy moments it can become overwhelming for both him and the others. he also usually processes his emotions before voicing them out, that's why he usually gets quieter when he has too many emotions going on. it's not him being sad but him taking some time to figure out his own emotions, i think.

I think Jimin had a really really hard time during the pandemic. I think he was really shaken to the core, and wondering if they still have fans, if he can still entertain them... i think he got really emotionally disconnected, although he was fighting to connect. And in the first 2 concerts he still seemed nervous, worried, anxious, but in the last 2 you could see that he finally was happy and content and comfortable. So I think he has been fighting with himself for a long time, and I hope the concerts gave him some peace again.

Oh haha funny you say that about V cause he actually acted in a Korean show called “Hwarang”. The more you observe V the more you notice he’s able to change emotion quite quickly when he wants to. Especially on stage, he is very good at putting on a stage persona. You should definitely check out V’s solo stuff, such as Singularity.

Namjoon can be a huge goofball! He has a very close and fun friendship with Jin, who tends to be comforting support to him when he's stressed by his responsibilities. There is an iconic VLive with Jin and Namjoon that escalates to uncontrollable laughter while they continuously sing a line to one of Yoongi's solo songs. If you want to see Namjoon forget he's the leader of BTS, that VLive is a delightful one to watch.

Something to think about. This is Yoongi post shoulder surgery. He has less chronic pain and yes, he seems so much happier🥺 Someone might have mentioned it about I’ll state it just incase. Yoongi was in a car accident predebut that tore up his shoulder. He’s had chronic pain since but a year ago he finally had time to get surgery to fix his shoulder and has been steadily recovering.

I love your content! Just a comment, as someone who has been watching A LOT of live interactions between the guys (for 4 years now and counting!), I can tell you for sure, sometimes V may not look like he's listening, but he does. Multiple times, we saw him not engaging, but later he acted on the things other guys talk about during that time. For example, in one of the Bon Voyage series, Jimin mentioned about needing a sewing kit to the other guys who were going shopping - V was present, but was doing something else - it was V who remembered and got Jimin the sewing kit. We have seen this happened many times.

Regarding the change in Yoongi’s energy - he had surgery on his shoulder last November to fix damage from an old (pre-debut) injury. If you compare him in performances, interviews, etc. from pre-and post-surgery, there’s a noticeable difference. I am so glad he had time to take care of that last year, because it was clearly very painful and now he can do what he loves without all that.

It's amazing to see Junkook grow before eyes into such a naturally confident person! He used to imitate his hyungs when he was younger and has now found himself. It's also awesome to see the members giving JK the respect despite being the youngest. Watch the recent VLIVE with JK and Namjoon after PTD concert day 4. You'll the see this new dynamic where JK exuded leadership and Joonie being goofy! Through the years, they all found roles. Jin used to be so quiet but now sets the energy with Hobi. Jimin is the most emotionally intelligent member and fun loving. RM is a charismatic natural leader but so goofy otherwise. Suga is the dose of reality they need with his honesty. Hobi is the ball of sunshine with some really funny quirks. JK is calm and collected who happens to be so good in everything he does. And V, is so unique in the most beautiful way! It sounds cliche to say that the Bangtan Boys are so unique and that destiny brought them together... I know we all have unique personalities but these guys are mesmerizing! Truly some of the most beautiful human beings, inside and out. The group dynamic they've created is something to be admired! They seem to genuinely love each other and enjoy each other's company! We're just all 8th wheeling every single time! 🤣

i feel like V is still someone you need to watch more content on to truly understand; you have a very good handle on the rest of the guys just with the minimal content you've watched so far, but Taehyung is a very interesting person that'd i'd love to see you learn more about. I'm unsure if you'd get the best content from their Run episodes or maybe some In The Soop episodes where they're at their most relaxed and raw

On the whole family thing. Lol I actually have 7 uncles and seriously, BTS reminds me of them when I was younger. They were always having fun. Always supportive of each other. Never did anything intentional to harm one another. BTS reminds me of my family growing up. A loveing nurtured environment that extended to the cousins as well.

In my point of view, Jimin had been overthinking about being again with fans for two years; during the AMAs they performed twice in front of hundreds of spectators -among them, many many ARMYs- for the first time, and the following day they were going to have the first of 4 concerts with 50.000 people. So, from my point of view but also because of what he said there, before and after, I think that he was nervous for the concerts, anxious to see if he would be able to feel again what was the most important part of his life and was taken away two years ago. And at the same time, he is very sensitive, I've seen him reacting to their concerts and saying with frustration that he could only pay attention to the sound or to the movements but not both together, so maybe he was a bit overwhelmed after the travel and the performances at AMAs, you can see him hugging or lying on somebody else most of the time that day, in interviews and during the show.

jimin becomes quiet when he's genuinely content. he withdraws and reflects and when he's ready and if he wants to, he shares what he's learned/realized with the members and army. he's done this multiple times over the quarantine. he even spoke about how he likes to visit quiet places, like the sea at night, so he can think and relax. once you get over that initial glamour he seems to exude, he's surprisingly quiet and wise and gentle and soft-spoken. he's in his head a lot, but not like taehyung. tae's dreamy and unpredictable; he'll be quiet for a bit and then out of nowhere he'll say the weirdest thing, the most ridiculous, random shit you've heard all day. jimin's in his head in a "overthinking, reflecting, committing to memory, planning for the future" way.

Look at RM in VLives with Jin (endless giggling) or Jimin to see his goofy side. With V and JK, he never gets out of big brother role, and with Suga and JHope, he always retains his genuine hero worship for his big brothers. Jin breaks that down and they usually end up giggling over nothing.... because Jin is just Jin. But with Jimin, it is so cute that Jimin goes into the big brother role. They are next to each other in age, so maybe that’s why, but Namjoon gets the heck teased and judged out of him by Mr Sassy Pants Park Jimin. (Jimin tries that with Suga, but they usually end up bickering.) The Vlive where Jimin and RM make Dalgona coffee is HILARIOUS because of this dynamic. You see RM in his Winnie the Pooh persona as Jimin looks at him in disbelief.
